  1. Nice save, No I am not going to say the green is too dark. Cees
  2. Joybreaker Cees again. Jeroen, I would paint the floors of the area behind the cockpit green. And the big fuselage formers are aluminium. Then again, who am I?! Cees
  3. You know I like sawing plastic and if not doing it myself I let others do it By the way, those Brengun wheels look rather skinny, The type used high pressure tyres which clung very tight to the rim. Cees
  4. That looks mighty nice already. Cheers Cees
  5. Same here, what a set, pricey but that is what you have to pay for quality. Cees
  6. Thanks for the review, I am building a razorback P-47D at the moment, and don't think Yahu made a panel for it. The detail they cram into these sets is amazing. Cees
  7. Thanks David, Saw this at Cosford last November and couldn't keep my eyes of the fantastic detail you created. It looks fabulous. Will you be doing a book similar to the Spitfire too? Cees
  8. What about the Typhoon, Sea Fury and Whirlwind fighter? Hoping to see them soon. Cheers Cees
  9. Hi Gus, Ah well, she knows me . For every luminous (radium) instrument there was also a fluorescent (intended for UV light) version, just a matter of seeking out the ones you want. Health is a serious matter. Cees
  10. Eh no, this is just my own pleasure (just as the Hampden and Halifax cockpits, although due to size they couldn't be placed in our apartment ). The panel will be placed in the "study" and all instruments are safe. Cees
  11. Here it is Danny, half the instruments have been trial fitted. The blind flying panel is ready but I still need some of the brackets to fit them into the main panel. Cheers Cees
  12. Snallish update, looong overdue I know but during the ipms modelling afternoon last saturday I got the itch to get started again and made the throttle box pedestal. This is totally different comoared to the Lanc as it has a bras lampswitch embedded in it I felt really needed to be installed. Took some hours but modelling and talking doesn't speed up things. Also made a start with the instrument panel. This is also completely different so this will be built using pe dials etc. After the instrument panel is finished the painting stage comes closer. Cheers Cees
  13. Welcome to LSM David, I have your book and I can say it's a riveting read. Your techniques are fantastic and very effective. Last year I saw your Mustang at the Cosford Museum and some years previous this Spitfire. Magnificent builds by a true master. Cheers Cees
  14. Just the instrument panel, I do have full scale Halifax and Hampden cockpits though. Cees
  15. Very nice Danny, your collections is certainly growing. I received my blank Spitfire instrument panel last week (scale 1.1), that will represent a RNethAF Mk IX. Spent some time yesterday screwing in the original instruments. Would make a nice display at home. Cheers Cees
  16. Masterclass! Although I am not that too much into stringy aeroplanes this seems to be a must have on the boodshelf. Well done chaps (and Franny too of course). Cheers Cees
  17. Wow, that Lozenge fabric looks fantastic. Very nice build and judging by your other models you are really into WWI. Cheers Cees
  18. This is coming together very well Danny. Very nice. Cheers Cees
  19. No, he is just shy.
  20. I ccertainly would like to build one or two for our museum. We have some displays covering local B-24 crashes, one of which had a huge shark mouth on the nose. One in olive drab and the other natural metal. Bring 'em on! Cees
  21. The pics don't show, but can be seen through the imageshack link though. Cheers Cees
  22. Yes yes I know, it's been a while but work is about to re-commence again during the Christmas period. I'm itching to do more work on it. Detailing the cockpit is a hell of a job (especially if you do not like detailing the really small bits) but will get there in the end. I feel the Lancaster will be sooner out than the Manchester is finished but that is no problem. For 2018 I intend to get it mostly finished (famous last words hehe). Cheers Cees
  23. Hi Rob, Nice project and good to see you stepping out of your comfort zone. Something I should do one day as well. Cheers Cees
  24. Congratulations on a very well executed build. The subtle weathering really gives it a very authentic feel. Well done! Cheers Cees
  25. That's totally and utterly very nice. The green has turned out especially so. Cheers Cees
