  1. That rabbit's dynamite!
  2. What adhesive will be used? CA, epoxy,? Any soldering?
  3. More of my JSU-152. Flat coat on, tools on.......next will assemble the Friulmodel tracks.
  4. Incredible work on that Tower! Truly impressive.
  5. John, very nice! Very nice indeed!
  6. AZ toyhobby, MechaWarehouse, Impulse hobbies, Amazon, and DoubleStar hobby in Canada.
  7. Yes, ever since I bought their circle cutter a while back I've been impressed by the quality of their products. I often see their products being sold-out and have been searching for these online lately, lucky to find the ones I wanted in-stock on online shops I've never used before.... Opportunity purchasing I guess. I hear their sprue nippers are good, I'd like to try them out.
  8. A mess of items today.....all DSPIAE stuff. First, their UV Touch Light (UV-T). Used to cure UV adhesives and resins, this thing is far more substantial than I expected. It measures 1" x 4.75". Made of anodized aluminum, this thing comes with a usb cord, has three light settings; high, low, and pulse. I was expecting a tiny pocket light. Very nice. Next; Dspiae's Super Glue Application Stand (AT-GA) . Basically, a set of stainless CA glue applicators with a nice anodized aluminium stand all looking pretty good. After the disaster with my SMK build I had been looking for some good CA applicators....tried the Glue Loopers, wasn't happy with those. Next; bunches of 5mm and 10mm Dspiae sanding discs and connectors for my sanding pen....these are sold-out at a lot of suppliers so I bought what I could find. Last; two sets of replacement blades for my DSPIAE circle cutter. These can be hard to find.... I buy them when I can. Oh, I also bought some Milliput.
  9. Nice work. I have all the big Trumpeter T-34s and their big SU-100 in my stash. 'Been eyeing the SU-100 as my next build.
  10. That's a great kit! I downloaded the instructions from scalemates last night and was looking at in on the Brother's Sprue website this morning! Do a build on that one please!
  11. I used Walther's Solvaset. These decals weren't stubborn, they practically melted with my solution. I found it was best just to leave them alone and let the solvent do the work. Never thought of using Tamiya thinner before. Do you do this over lacquer painted surfaces?
  12. Back working on the Tamiya JSU-152. Got some paint on, clear-coat, and Decals on. I painted the tools and tow cables to be added-on later. The Tamiya decals seem to be much more sensitive to decal solution now. Almost too sensitive, but I got them on O.K.. My marking choice required a lot from the decals. The decal on the rear deck had to conform to welds, a hinge, hatch covers and bolt heads. The decal required tiny touch-ups with a brush and white paint afterwards. Later, when doing the decal on the back of the cabin, I tried something different. This decal had to conform to a large bump , a pistol port I think. This time after getting the decal in place, I brushed it with the decal solvent I left it alone. No fussing with it or prodding.I came back later, ....perfect!
  13. Some things recently. Mostly accessories for a couple of Dspiae tools I bought recently. Their saw and sanding pen. The Dspiae sanding pen is meant for 3mm (.118) shank tool bits. I found an adapter on Amazon that fits this thing so that other bits can be used, including 1/8" (.125) bits the adapter chucks are pretty nice considering their price was (under $9.00 US) but it does increase the length of the tool...a bit awkward-looking, but it works. I also found a set of 20, 3mm shank tungsten grinding bits on Amazon For $17.00 dollars. They fit the Dspiae tool perfectly and seem to be good quality. They are sold/made by Yufutol. I also got a 3 piece set of tungsten grinding bits by Dspiae (GH-002) and have a 10 piece set by Dspiae (GH-10) coming soon. I also got 2 sets of blades for my Dspiae saw; fine and extra fine. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HFPPT5J?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NCRD5MW?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
  14. I use the tamiya stuff on my Iwatas I add some to the color cup, use a very large paintbrush to scrub the cup, then spray it out at high pressure. I then remove parts to expose the needle, use the same brush to wipe off the needle and nozzle, reassemble and spray out some water or denatured alcohol. Done. Using this method, I only occasionally need to remove the airbrush nozzle or needle. I find that Simple Green will remove Tamiya acrylics from Items with a simple soak. I do this with my Paasche H airbrushes and bottles.
  15. That is odd. Reminds me of that Silly String stuff!
  16. That's a kit I may go for....it's big!. Yes, I agree, build thread please!!
  17. I agree about the 3mm , but I did see a 20 piece tungsten grinding bit set on Amazon that I might buy . Also I did try the sanding disc set by Dspiae that I got and they worked well...at slower speeds. I intend to buy the larger disc set next week and order the 10 piece dispiae tungsten grinding bit set. Also found that there are chuck adapters with 3 mm shanks that will fit that convert the device to having an adjustable chuck......although the set up looks a bit clumsy.
  18. Looking great Peter! Very interesting markings!
  19. Some items today.... From Dspiae two items: First their ES-P Portable Electric Grinder. This is a nice little tool. Very well-made, it takes 3mm shank tools (not 1/8) I also got some sanding discs and connectors for these. Also ordered some Tungsten grinding bits. It runs at three speeds and is very quiet. I think it will prove useful. Also from Dspiae, their AT-HW Hand saw. Looks good. Made of anodized aluminum . I purchased extra sets of fine and very fine blades. Also today, came a set of decals by Star Decals. Their 35-888 KV-1 m1940 Soviet, Germany, R.O.N.A in 1/35. An interesting set.
