  1. She will fit right in and be at home with the rest of the gang.
  2. Rob Terrific progress. The gloss finish dried perfectly and the one slightly lighter panel breaks up the solid blue color a b it and adds a lot of interest. Nice work on the radiator and deciding to go with Bare Metal Foil. Any reason you choose it over Alclad or AK Metallics? The IP and canopy framing is also spot on the money. Now I understand how the pilot will have enough forward vision to keep things semi safe and see where he is going. Looking so good and just love aircraft that can pass a Saturday morning inspection; neat, clean and polished.
  3. Kev Yup, it does that a lot of time but it's worth the effort for sure, only if you can see the inside of the canopy framing from each side.
  4. Nice progress and don't push those eyes. Work for a while and then rest those eyes. - best way for sure
  5. John never get tired of following your Corsair builds. In fact I have a few in the stash that should be hitting the bench after the Skyraider and 109 are done. Nice choice of schemes: Virgil Ray
  6. Rob I shoot 100% in RAW and always need to do post work on every image. For model photography, I should shoot in JPEG but just don't, just how I work. Next update, I'll double check the colors and luminosity of the smaller parts to make sure.
  7. Thanks Oliver and very much appreciated. Right now I'm pretty set for what I need, and of course have hit the wall with the folding wings. Going to be a lot of work just to get them on and looking good. Between the Skyraider and the 109, I've had my fill of 32nd scale ZM kits.
  8. Welcome Neil, enjoy LSM and have fun building. I left LSP many years ago, had my membership terminated and never looked back.
  9. Ernie The Felixstowe was an amazing. 🏆 I've heard that about the Helldiver and any airplanes in the hands of a good pilot, who is at one and at home with his airplane, always gets the best out of her.
  10. Rob I think the issue might be how I processed the images in Photoshop. Not much will be seen now that the fuselage is closed up. Not offended, just didn't understand what you were saying.
  11. Phil Fingers crossed the seat belts work out perfectly.
  12. Kev Nice progress and good thing you mentioned that's how the gear is supposed to look - the cant is very similar to a Spitfire. Looking mighty good and the box art scheme is really good looking.
  13. John So well worth the wait for the addition AM decals. perfectly built and finished. Beautiful work.
  14. John Gorgeous build and love the paint scheme. Awesome work and finish as always.
  15. Oliver I needed to step back, sit back and take a good long look and appreciate all the incredible work and details you keep adding. I just have no idea how you not only determine what they are but engineer how to make them. Superior skills and talent
  16. Ernie Right on the money and completely agree that no way did anyone at Infinity actually build the kit OOB and if they did, must have come to the exact same conclusions as you. The real question is why? Being their first kit out of the box and first impressions are so important, they should have gone the extra mile and made sure a beautiful model could be built straight out of the box and just as you said; it can't. Shame on them. I've said for years you love a good fight and will always find a way to win. Geez, talk about difficult, I remember your WNW Felixstowe F.2a build is at the head of the pack! A few of the flying wires had issues and somehow you did figure it out. It's called, never giving in and working out a solution, no matter what. .
  17. Rob WOW, looking fantastic and fingers crossed she stays that glossy.
  18. Thanks Gaz I know exactly what you mean and I don't often fold the wings but for the Skyraider I thought I would give it a try. She is a HUGE Gal and with her wings extended, would eat up a lot of space. I have my Corsair with her wings also folded but any new Corsairs, the wings would be extended.
  19. Much appreciated Martin, getting there slowly but back at it after a scarry medical week for my wife Diane. Doing much better and will be starting infusions this coming week.
  20. Thanks PW I'm making progress and hopefully over the weekend, I'll have the wings done and see how close I get to working wings. If I can get mine to look close to Carl's, I'll be a happy camper for sure.
  21. John Much appreciated and right with you about the front office.
