Alan Geez, that's unusual as ScanDisc SD cards are excellent. Shouldn't have assumed what brand of SD card you were using without first asking - my apologies.
-
Jerry Only notices I get are the weekend specials. Not sure if I'm the newsletter list but I'll check.

Alan Sounds mighty good. Sorry to read about your SD card. I'm pretty deep into photography and from the channels and vlogs I've followed for years, plus my own experiences, SD card failure isn't as rare as we think. Off brand name cards fails way more then the better known cards. A number of years ago I bought a few extra SD cards just in case I needed the extra capacity the day before we left for vacation and all I could find was a brand I never heard off. I was shooting with a Nikon D850 then and tested out both of those cards on vacation - and they both failed and were round filed on the spot.

Oliver Awesome work, just awesome. The wash looks fantastic.

Yikes, that terrible. Any chance of a light sanding will remove the stains? With all the work done so perfectly, I would strip her back to bare plastic and start the painting procedure over - just way to much good work to sit at the back of the shelf. I've stripped more models then I care to remember.

Can't wait for the new Revell Hurrican to show up here in the states, as we now seem to be last for everything. I've followed Nigel's build on his channel and this is a 100% new kit and looks fantastic.

Still great fiction

Ernie Great story and I'm a huge fan of the Dragon Lady. Normally it takes a chase pilot and another pilot in a car behind the U2 to assist her in landing, so he surely earned his pay that day. Yes, he surely was lucky and one very skilled U2 driver.

COMING TOGETHER The worst is over and finally I can see the finish line. At first, if it wasn’t for the stress cracking that seemed to take forever to resolve and then my oral surgery last Saturday, the Kingfisher would have already crossed the finish line (maybe). After all the decals were down and in place, I needed apply a seal coat of clear gloss but couldn’t: I always wear a respirator and paint using my spray booth but after the surgery, there was no way I could wear a mask and the Kingfisher had to sit and wait. Finally, yesterday I was up to getting back to the build and the mask wasn’t very uncomfortable when air brushing. Tamiya Clear Gloss LP-9 had the honors and when dried, I was itching beyond control to remove all the canopy masking that took nearly five days to do way back when and see what it looked like. I was amazed … not too bad at all and I was very pleased with the results – just wouldn’t want to do it again. Now starts adding all the small details, some detail brush painting, add the beaching gear and outrigger floats and call it a day. Just wanted to post a few photographs of how the Kingfisher has progressed. Hoping to cross the finish line this weekend and on to my next built: the Revell Spitfire Mk lla.

Chris Gaz's photograph shows the attachment point very well and should be a big help. I'm with Carl in that I've shied away from doing figures for all these years and if I tried now, it certainly would a daunting experience. I still have the erg these days to try but working in 32nd or 35th scale will be a lot easier and my only chance of succeeding (quality doesn't count). Yup, getting your crew to fit is another issue and the only two options seems to be; trimming the figures as needed opening up the pilot's area a bit more in the cockpit - Both aren't ideal and both will need a steady hand. I'm sure you will have all under control as you work your way through the problem.👍 -

Very nice work and right with Martin -
Chris Right with you on the Voodoo wish list.

Hubert Thank you for the explanation and example. One of the areas I was responsible for in the building of custom gunite swimming pools was the water hydraulics for water features such as negative edges, cascades, spas and fountains and everything in between. In a way pretty much the same as to insure all the water features worked flawlessly, it all started with having the right amount of water when needed and the ability to flow at specific rates.

Scott Nice going for sure 👍 -
Martin First and foremost, good luck with your eye surgery - nothing more important. I just had major oral surgery last Saturday and have been mostly sidelined from building as I can't wear my mask yet and that means no painting. I now have two projects underway but pretty much stuck in the mud - maybe today I'll be able to wear the mask without too much pain and carry on but for me, health issues these days are at the top of the list. Following your progress with all the corrections and work you have done so far, I tip my hat to you, some brilliant modification and correction work. After seeing what you have gone through up to this point, I'm so glad I bought and built the Tamiya Mossie when it first came out and if the erg ever rises again, I wouldn't hesitate on buying another one.

Jeroen Those Quinta IP's are works of art.

Chris Some mighty fine work and your Voodoo looks fantastic. A tough kit to build and considering its age, terrific work. Nice choice on the finish - cammo. For me, it would have been a tossup between the SEA scheme and the earlier ADC all Gloss Gray. Just can't go wrong with either one and one of Mr Mac's great achievements. I

Tamiya F4F-4 built as FM-1 Wildcat - 1/48 - FINISHED

Mike All Mr Color paints and clears are very thick and require a lot of their thinner. I always thin and mix paints prior to adding the mix to the air brush as I was never convinced mixing in the AB cup is the best way to go, especially with thick paints. One of my most used air brushes is the Iwata Eclipse with a 0.35 nozzle, which I had for a good ten years and prior to it, I had another Iwata Eclipse. Just love the way they shoot and for the most part, they are bullet proof. My other go to AB's are both H&S CR Plus with a .2 and a .4 tip. When it comes to breakdown and cleaning, the H&S is so much easier to do and doesn't require and tools and every inch of the H&S AB's are easy to clean. I find on the Iwata Eclipse, actually cleaning out the passageway through the tiny opening into the barrel portion, very difficult to do and that may be where the clog is. One other area to check is the piston mechanism on the Iwata, which I had to replace just once, as the trigger would begin to stick. But for the amount of use I've given it over the years, an awesome piece of equipment. For gloss coats I use an Iwata Revolution with a .5 tip. As the tip size widens, I do need to increase the working pressure. -
Tamiya F4F-4 built as FM-1 Wildcat - 1/48 - FINISHED

Rob That's very interesting that you see no significant drop in PSI from the set pressure to the working pressure. In my case, the larger the tip, the gr I'll see a I'm only guessing but that may have to do with the sensitivity of the gauge, the range the gauge covers and then all the normal stuff we talk about so much: the air brush itself, length and width of the air hose itself. Everyone's setup is different and all that really counts, is the results and what works. -
