  1. Gaz Nice work on the scuffing - something you really don't see much of. In the second and third photo, I think there should be a little more scuffing in the middle area which would even out all the walking marks. All in all, an awesome effect
  2. Rob Holy Smokes the effects are amazing and look so good. At this stage, the paint shows signs of bleaching and fading - so very well done
  3. Mark Nothing like a change of pace to get the old juices flowing again. Hiow about keeping a build thread going, as your Big Rig looks so good
  4. Phil Nice work on the interior - looks mighty good and a shame once the body is close up. most if not all the details and hard work, will never be seen again.
  5. John Sure, looks like the cuss factor paid off in big dividends and the Twogar is looking mighty good.
  6. Rob Looking fantastic and thank you for taking the in-progress pics and narratives - of course, taking loads of notes. I started using AK Real Colors on the Whirlwind build disaster and was very impressed at well they shoot. I have to say, they are every as bit in the class of MRP paints and a lot easier to find.
  7. Thanks Ernie Glad we're a go for Jan 1st.Now all I need to do is really make sure I have the kit I want to build.
  8. Mark Sounds good to me - was wondering why you have been MIA for a short while
  9. Mark I'm not a Mod but to me, they fit perfectly into the theme.
  10. Mark Sure sounds as if the old mojo has suffered a major defeat and it will return - just takes time. I guess you're working on other projects - any pics of what they are?
  11. Rob Please go slow and try to take as many pics as possible so we can follow the entire process.
  12. John The Grumman ejection seats looks fantastic and look mighty good in the front office.
  13. Carl Holy Smokes, you gotta love Lancs and can't wait to pull up a front row seat and follow the journey. I'm all set and have a double supple of pc. 😉
  14. John Yup, going to be keeping me busy for a good amount of time and I seriously thinking about leaving out the never to be seen parts and details, just wasted building time.
  15. Paul Your stash is surely growing by leaps and bounds. Nice addition
  16. Holy Smoke, two Lancs - almost as good as winning the lottery. So when do the builds begin?
  17. Rob Can't wait to see how the pre-shading effects the cammo colors. Nothing as satisfying as trailblazing a new technique and seeing how perfect it comes out.
  18. Thanks John, no biggie. My goal is just to finish the P-40B as it's another over engineered kit. Hopefully I have the wings on this week and most of the bottom assembly done and on as well. Just so many small assemblies to do and details to add.
  19. Hi John Never knew and of course, I painted the same interior green as the cockpit, right from the beginning of the build. I'm sure you are correct but it's way too late to change the color as all the seatbelts and harnesses are glued in place and weathered.
  20. Thanks John Slow progress over a good week's time, as I've never spent so much time test fitting and tweaking. Getting use to GWH's over engineered details and the next batch is the under fuselage plumbing that I'm most likely going to completely leave off as it's 100% hidden - what a waste.
  21. Thanks Martin Slow but steady and making a bit of progress each day now.
