  1. So glad you 'found the missing parts' and the G55 is underway again. Looking simply fantasic.
  2. John Priming and masking look good. Looking forward to seeing the Twogar wearing this colorful scheme.
  3. Yup, typical Special Hobby and does need a lot of care. The front office is tricky and the landing gear is as frustrating as it gets.
  4. I'm sure when I go, almost everything will be headed for the land fill as except for my twin brother, no one in my family has the slightest interest in my modeling. My cameras are a different story but who knows what the future holds
  5. Ernie A Piasecki H-21 Shawnee - can't wait to see the kit.
  6. Terrific progress on an extraordinary kit that does present a lot of issues for the builder. I too have been following Nigel's build and according to him, the seam does belong but not a gap. A lot of what Nige talks about is in his opinion, which I feel is correct, is when Border took possession of the model/molds, WNW still needed to resolve a lot of issues with the complicated kit and creating a set of their famous instructions which most likely would have gone into more detail on issues like the gap. Still, an amazing kit.
  7. Harv Right with the rest of the guys and number four in line. Looks good - how about the Cougar grabbing some bench time - Just love those Iron Work Gang Panthers and Cougars
  8. Gaz Nice work on the scuffing - something you really don't see much of. In the second and third photo, I think there should be a little more scuffing in the middle area which would even out all the walking marks. All in all, an awesome effect
  9. Rob Holy Smokes the effects are amazing and look so good. At this stage, the paint shows signs of bleaching and fading - so very well done
  10. Mark Nothing like a change of pace to get the old juices flowing again. Hiow about keeping a build thread going, as your Big Rig looks so good
  11. Phil Nice work on the interior - looks mighty good and a shame once the body is close up. most if not all the details and hard work, will never be seen again.
  12. John Sure, looks like the cuss factor paid off in big dividends and the Twogar is looking mighty good.
  13. Rob Looking fantastic and thank you for taking the in-progress pics and narratives - of course, taking loads of notes. I started using AK Real Colors on the Whirlwind build disaster and was very impressed at well they shoot. I have to say, they are every as bit in the class of MRP paints and a lot easier to find.
  14. Thanks Ernie Glad we're a go for Jan 1st.Now all I need to do is really make sure I have the kit I want to build.
  15. Mark Sounds good to me - was wondering why you have been MIA for a short while
  16. Mark I'm not a Mod but to me, they fit perfectly into the theme.
  17. Mark Sure sounds as if the old mojo has suffered a major defeat and it will return - just takes time. I guess you're working on other projects - any pics of what they are?
  18. Rob Please go slow and try to take as many pics as possible so we can follow the entire process.
  19. John The Grumman ejection seats looks fantastic and look mighty good in the front office.
  20. Carl Holy Smokes, you gotta love Lancs and can't wait to pull up a front row seat and follow the journey. I'm all set and have a double supple of pc. 😉
  21. John Yup, going to be keeping me busy for a good amount of time and I seriously thinking about leaving out the never to be seen parts and details, just wasted building time.
