It's Winter and a Nor'Easter is heading our way
Peterpools replied to Peterpools's topic in General Discussion
Phil Right now, the contractors have finished the first phase of the renovation and aren't scheduled to come back for a few weeks so Diane and I can keep packing up everything as all the furniture needs to be moved for the floors and painting. Looks like the weather won't effect our reno schedule just slow me, as at 74 the energy only lasts so long and then it's rest time. -

Kai The Office is looking so good and it's just a shame so much of the details are hidden and won't be seen. But what is visible - simply awesome. Keep 'em comin Peter -

Gaz Holy cow, looking so good. The AM PE screens fit perfectly and is a big plus as well as how you hung the spare tracks. Keep 'em comin Peter -
Hi Kai Thank you for checking in and seeing how we are doing with the renovation, which is moving along to plan but just taking a little longer for each phase, as we keep adding items that we want. Right now the first phase of the project is completed; a 100% new master bathroom and one of the bedrooms is now my studio/cave - new floors, completely painted and window treatments. Most of what was in my former studio/cave has been moved into my new room and I'm in the processes of finding new homes for everything. I ordered a set of paint shelves which should be here sometime next week depending on the monster snow storm we're consumed in right now. Right now, we're getting ready to start phase two: painting and flooring and that should take a good month or so. Then I'll be ready to hit my cave running and get back to modeling. One thing I hadn't thought about as being a cancer patient and in my mid seventies, my energy level and strength isn't what it once was and things now definitely take a lot longer to do. We're getting there and it's now just time and energy so we are ready for the contractors to return. Keep 'em comin Peter

Carl Just have to love winter ... you guys still have it way worse then us but being on Long Island and on the coast, we're not use to all this snow. So glad you were able to thaw out your kitchen pipes without any damage or needing a plumber. Keep 'em comin Peter -

John Looking so good ... beautiful work Keep 'em comin Peter -
Yup, the joys of winter and here on Long Island we normally do not have major winter snows combined with a Nor'easter and it's coming later tonight. Our area is forecasting 12-20 inches of snow with wind guts up to 60 MPH! Looks like we'll be inside for a good few days and hoping the power stays on. Fingers crossed Keep 'em comin Peter

Kev Terrific progress as you are quickly approaching priming. It’s easy to appreciate your meticulous work by the lack of filler and any construction issues. Keep ‘em comin Peter

Rob Brilliant paint and decal work - simply stunning! Unfortunately I can not agree that I would prefer rigging a WWI biplane rather then applying all the stencils on a modern jet, especially the F4’s which seem to have more then most. Your progress is amazing and no question, your Phantom in simply looking stunning. Keep ‘em comin Peter- 177 replies

Gaz Terrific progress on the Panter’s Zermerit- looks so good. Completely agree that is so many instances, the AM will dictate where and how the detailing is done and the direction of the build, less OOB builds. Keep ‘em comin Peter -

John Just catching up as it’s been crazy here with all the construction for the Reno. We’re just about at the point of a needed break, time to start packing up what seems almost everything, so we’re ready for painting and floors. Awesome progress on Bardahl Miss - just love the multi colored prop and the gloss yellow paint looks perfect. Yup, the checkerboard decals are going to take time but are looking tremendous. She is going to be a ‘stunner’ for sure. Beautiful work Keep ‘em comin Peter -
