  1. Mike Looking forward to following the Camel build and greatly appreciate the background information. As always, meticulous work. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  2. No Step makings look mighty good for sure. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  3. Jeroen Painting and masking look fantastic. I’m in the middle of a major renovation on our home and of course, everything is taking longer then planned but it should be done in a few months time. Diane and I have been waiting a very long time to have the renovation done and it’s our dream for sure. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  4. Right with Harv Amazing painting on the figures Keep ‘em comin Peter

  9. John Some mighty delicate work and a good plan for sanding in the concave wingtip shape. Keep 'em comin Peter
  10. Phil That's all that counts Keep 'em comin Peter
  11. Kev Nice ..... looking forward to hopefully a build thread Keep 'em comin Peter
  12. Carl Completely agree with the majority of my stash now being 48th scale jets, props 48 & 32 about even in number and 72nd starting to come on board as well. Just so much more available in 48th scale these days as that seems to be is where the manufactures are focusing their resources on. . Keep 'em comin Peter
  13. Phil 1/72 is perfect for WWII heavies - size and cost as compared to the larger scales. Keep 'em comin Peter
  14. Very nice work fitting the canopy interior parts and then adding the glass to the airframe. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  15. Jeroen Love the way you use the panel wash, both accenting the details and creating highlights and shadows; going to give it a try when I get back to building. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  16. Craig amazing work and progress as always. Looking so good. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  17. John You’re really flying this this build and she is looking so good. What’s your plan on clipping the wings? Keep ‘em comin Peter
  18. Carl Guess I’m the oddball but I do like 72nd scale kits, just depends on the subject and Might be building a few this year Keep ‘em comin Peter
  19. Very nice progress - head and eyes looking good. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  20. Jerry That is the line of Vallejo metals I use for brush painting. I don’t have the colors just a few: aluminums and silver which work well. I’m leaning more and more towards the Tamiya Metals these days. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  21. Rob You F4 is looking tremendous and what a smooth finish after wet sanding. I needed to rethink a bit and while I prefer to use my panel washes before I seal the decals, I do test them to be on the safe side that the PLW will not interact with the decal inks. You're so right in that all the clear layers can fill the panel lines and cause an issue. When I'm not sure what to do, I have no hesitations about using water based washes: Flory and UMP and no worries. Of course, another great reason for using masks. Keep 'em comin Peter
  22. I’m in the early stages of having my “cave” built as part of our renovation. I’m planning on building a few sets of wall mounted paint racks and I’ll post photos when done, but’s it’s still a ways away before I can occupy the my new model cave. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  23. For brush painting, Vallejo and Tamiya lacquers to be the two top contenders. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  24. Impressive work .... looking so good. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  25. John Drives me crazy all the time. I didn’t even know Floquil paints and thinners were still available. I use to use them all the time, especially when I was into model railroading many, many , many years ago and they were my number one paint. I’ll do some looking myself and see what I might be able to find. Keep ‘em comin Peter
