  1. Oliver MAGNIFICENT ... I've never seen modeling and detailing at this level. Keep 'em comin Peter
  2. John Amazing progress - looking fantastic Keep 'em comin Peter
  3. Phil Long way from it but our home renovation is scheduled to begin tomorrow and the past few weeks we've been packing and moving a ton of stuff - I have no idea where it all comes from. I'm even getting a new and larger Hobby Room/Photo Studio with the reno but until all the renovation work is done, no modeling, just no time and no energy. Diane and I have been waiting years for this and it would have already been done if I wasn't diagnosed with cancer and everything had to be put on hold plus the covid pandemic and no one was allowed in the house. I'm healthy enough for the contractors to start (with approval from my doctors and of course, everyone has to social distance and wear masks) and the work will be done in a few phases, as we are still going to be living in the house. Please no comments on how you feel about social distancing, masks and the injections - I'm following doctors orders and I'm still here and doing well. We are both in our seventies and there is just so much we can do in a day to prepare, just don't have the energy of what I had in my sixties. Thank goodness, the contractor is doing a lot of extra work for us. Keep 'em comin Peter
  4. Phil What's not to like - 👍 Keep 'em comin Peter
  5. Super video and one very important point: noticed that the pilot constantly watches the wing tip of the Hornet next to him, the golden rule of formation flying. Keep 'em flying Peter
  6. Rob best way to avoid what we went through. Fingers crossed and I'm sure all will be perfect Keep 'em comin Peter
  7. John You're blowing me away and it's a pleasure to see the kit built at your speed and so perfectly Keep 'em comin Peter
  8. Thanks Phil, I'm sure you are right Keep 'em comin Peter
  9. Kent Nice going on getting the cowling to fit, as there always seems to be a struggle somewhere fitting fully finished sub assemblies. Keep 'em comin Peter
  10. Phil Agree completely about the virtues of 48th scale and over the past year I've been building in both 48th and 32nd scale - just enjoy both. The details in the newer 48th scale kits are amazing and working in both scales keep the juices flowing for me. Keep 'em comin Peter
  11. Rob Nice save on the canopy and the glass looks absolutely perfect. Thank you for the "How To" as it will come in very handy down the road. I've lived through the Phantom canopy issues in the past and now try to deal with the canopy as a removable part, just in case of he dreaded interior staining at the very end of the build. Keep 'em comin Peter
  12. Rich Nice start on the cab - you make it look so easy and we surely know it's not - it's an art and skill I know I can not do. Keep 'em comin Peter
  13. Frank Nothing like a Tamiya kit and so well worth the money. I've bought the Revell kits more out of curiosity and for the money they are good buys but no where near the detail, fit and crispness of Tamiya. I do have Revell's Spitfire Mk11a and will build it with a lot of AM sets and then I'll be back with Tamiya. Keep 'em comin Peter
  14. Kai Your Rio bangseat and instrument panel assembly look spot on and so good. Weathering is light, so very realistic and so good.. Your style of weathering compliments my thoughts and preference: light and delicate to bring out the details and textures. Anything more would require the model to be shown on a vignette style base, letting the viewer understand: time, place and the reason for the chosen weathering. Keep 'em comin Peter
  15. Dan Excellent progress - looking good, Keep 'em comin Peter
  16. John Your wings look great and I struggled beyond description. It seems almost every P-51 I've built the radiator air scoop under the fuselage has been a bear to fit and sand smooth. Has to be a better way to mold it. I'm guessing that the real issue is how the manufacturers try to detail the radiators themselves and for my money, gee, just mold them in place, who ever looks in there any way? After the hosue reno, I'll be finishing up my Revell Mustang (your build is keeping my juices flowing) and then I'm going to build one of the new Eduard 48th scale P-51D's as I'm hoping they solved how to do the radiators without all the fit issues. Long way done the road for me. Keep 'em comin Peter
  17. Mike Incredible work ... fantastic results Keep 'em comin Peter
  18. Looking mighty good and one tough PE assembly nearly done and in the books. Keep 'em comin Peter
  19. Gaz Nice going - you're making superb progress and as always, coming up with new modeling techniques. The final effects are going to look brilliant Keep 'em comin Peter
  20. Jeroen I'm just blown away - nothing else to say Keep 'em comin Peter
  21. Gaz Figures look terrific .. wish I could do a tenth as good. Keep 'em comin Peter
  22. Gaz Not sure at what I am looking at; SMS, ALCLAD or AK. Is it masking over SMS? Keep 'em comin Peter
  23. Thanks Ernie Some very cool kits are on the horizon. Keep 'em comin Peter
