  1. Kent Completely agree - self inflicted “goofs” seem to creep into all our builds - just part of the territory. Terrific progress on the build Keep ‘em comin Peter
  2. Mark Right with Kai, meticulous work and I keep making notes for when I build my Viggem (still waiting). Keep ‘em comin Peter
  3. Mike Added details to the radiator looks terrific. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  4. Gaz Cammo work looks spot on and perfectly done. Thanks for the size comparison pics as the difference in size between the Mardar and the Panther is more then I would have imagined. Sorry to read about your air brush issues - there always to be something to add to the mix. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  5. Craig Fantastic progress - Brilliant work as always. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  6. Kent So glad Gaz's build helped motivate you to build your HS123. Terrific work on your front office and just love those seatbelts. Keep 'em comin Peter
  7. Phil Awesome work on the front office and those seat belts and harnesses - bravo! The look better then a lot of PE belts I've seen and some of mine as well. Keep 'em comin Peter
  8. Thanks Carl I'll add it to my next order for supplies. Thanks again for the tutorial - perfect timing for all of us who bought the Viggen and the DN mask set and never used paint masks before - especially me! Keep 'em comin Petr
  9. Carl Awesome paint work and a fantastic tutorial; on how to use masks. I bought the DN mask set for the Viggen (still waiting of course) and I now have a good idea of how to use them. Much appreciated the time and pics. Keep 'em comin Peter
  10. Martin Your pesky Hurricane looks fantastic - sure wish you had a build thread going as there is so much to see and learn. Keep 'em comin Peter
  11. Harv next to 1/24th scale, 32nd scale is small scale for sure Keep 'em comin Peter
  12. Harv Hope it's on your build schedule right after your helo. Keep 'em comin Peter
  13. Rob Completely agree with your thought process and in camera procedure. For me it's quite different, as photography is a passion and I go the full route from filed work to printing. I always shoot with a Nikon Z7 (a Nikon shooter since the 1970's), shoot always in manual and in RAW. I enjoy doing post work in both Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Your images are beautifully done: clear and sharp and that's all that counts. Keep 'em comin Peter
  14. Oliver Awesome detail work as always and the interior is just brilliant. Keep 'em comin Peter
  15. Carl Nice progress on your Hornet. Glad the test fitting revealed the tab/extension issue and the final fit looks perfect. Keep 'em comin Peter
  16. Rob Absolutely brilliant work and the slightly mottle appearance replicates light weathering perfectly. White balance and hue; if you're shooting in JPEG and not RAW, just set the WB for the lighting that is illuminating the model; incandescent, or fluorescent. What hue are you seeing? If it's a bit warm, just add a bit of blue (cooler) or too cool, then a bit a yellow (warm. Hope this helps Keep 'em comin Peter
  17. Mark Terrific progress and I know the feeling about the canopy - been there and has to be from the 'wet' lacquer clear coats Keep 'em comin Peter
  18. John Absolutely brilliant work and done exactly as I like 'em; perfect paint and finish. I am still stunned at the speed you built the Hasegawa P-40 - just a testament to your modeling skills. Keep 'em comin Peter
  19. John Heading over right now. Keep 'em comin Peter
  20. Kai Holy Smokes - that should have been in the instructions ! Keep 'em coming Peter
  21. I have quick release fittings on all my air brushes as it makes life so much easier and switching from air brush to air brush is a snap. My collection of AB includse and when I purchased each AB, I also purchased the dedicated quick release. Highly recommended.: Two H&S Infinity CR Plus AB's An Iwata Eclipse and Revolution Grex XGi With the quick disconnects, I can switch between air brushes as needed, especially when I'm lazy and don't feel like cleaning them out between different paint mediums during painting sessions. Keep 'em comin Peter.
  22. Phil Now that's interesting for sure and I'll need to do some research. Keep 'em comin Peter
  23. Harv Did a bit of checking and the Beaufighter was of metal construction. Keep 'em comin Peter
  24. John I've gently sanding the spar down until the outer wing panels fit in place and thanks for the tip on using Vaseline - I'm sure it will come in mighty handy. Keep 'em comin Peter
  25. Carl Glad to know I have lots of company and having done it twice now, I do feel a lot better. Completely agree, leaving the gear off until after paint is the right and safest way way to go. You Corsair is looking mighty good and hopefully you'll be back to finishing her soon. Keep 'em comin Peter
