  1. Mark Way to go - your progress is amazing and your workmanship is top notch❗ looking so good Keep ‘em comin Peter
  2. Hi Kai Going to be an epic build and a terrific two aircraft theme and display concept. Sound and light AM 👍. I'll be the guy in the middle of the front row start to finish, eating no salt, no butter popcorn (yup, on a diet and needing to lose a few pounds). Keep 'em comin Peter
  3. MIke Right with Harv and Martin ... brilliant work. Keep 'em comin Peter
  4. Martin I don't know how you do it but the photographs are awesome and timely. I would never have guessed the exhaust staining would be as shown and I stand corrected. Keep 'em comin Peter
  5. Gaz Looking mighty good and your enamel weathering for me is just the ticket: adds life, pops the details and looks perfect. Most of the pin washes I use are enamels and need a nice glossy surface to flow at their best. I've also been experimenting with the best solution to move the enamels around and I'm settling on Testor's Enamel Paint Thinner in the red can. Seems to work better for me then While Mineral Spirits or Orderless Paint Thinner. Keep 'em comin Peter
  6. Rob Absolutely stellar and your work is simply meticulous. Your oil experiment: a success and allowed for some unique weathering techniques and textures. Aces on a wonderful build. 🏆 Keep 'em comin Peter

  12. Corsair F4U-1A Head Rest Don't know how it managed to lose the head rest from my Corsair but with all the flipping over of the model getting it ready for priming, it just vanished Does anyone have a one they can lend me so I can use it to make a duplicate and then I will return the part? I found the frets with the part on ebay but the seller is asking $18.95 plus shipping and only needing a tiny part, that's nuts. I just don't have in my heart to ask Tamiya for the part as they replaced the ruined canopy on my F4 at no charge and I just don't want to seem like a klutz Finger crossed Keep 'em comin Peter
  13. Nick Holy Cow, weather/exhaust staining with the inks looks might good. On my screen, the Winsor & Newton Sans Odor looks a bit choppy and might need to be blended/feathered a bit more. Keep 'em comin Peter
  14. Rob Just awesome and looking simply stellar. Keep 'em comin Peter
  15. Alan Looking forward to your build project. Keep 'em comin Peter
  16. Alan Now that's some project for sure. Good luck and when started, I'll be following all the way Keep 'em comin Peter

  18. I contacted Jetmad late yesterday and just received their reply Sunday morning, inquiring approximately when I would receive my kit Order #10890. Jetmad is still working on the first run of kits, with my confirmed second run kit order expecting to start production in November and mine shipping in January 2022. Just nice to know about when I should expect my kit. Excellent customer service in responding to my email so quickly over the weekend. Keep 'em comin Peter
  19. Gaz I’m following your build in the other forum where you moved it. Going to be a gem. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  20. Carl Fantastic choice and love the scheme you decided on, Coastal Command. Right with you on your game plan which is workable, takes advantage of a lot of AM for the project rather then a scratch/conversion. No question you’re going to create a beauty and a version I haven’t seen before. Will be follow in the front row Keep ‘em comin Peter
  21. Gaz You’re off to a great start and thanks for the explanation - now I finally got it. Right with Kai and Rob and will be following with great interest. I do like and appreciate your new style of presentation - easily to follow and appreciate the work. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  22. Thanks Mark, very much appreciated Keep ‘em comin Peter
  23. Thanks Rob, very much appreciated. I’ve been slowly buying and collecting Quinta Detail Sets as I find them so very well done, extremely easily to use, including applying with my glue of choice :Micro Crystal Kleer - no worries of drips or ugly little blobs here and there as with CCA. Completely agree, I also find it amazing how smaller companies like IBG can create gems without the pitfalls and struggles of the larger companies. Going slow and enjoying alternating bench time with the Corsair. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  24. Thanks Rob Completely agree. The early three color scheme is my favorite USN of the war era and for modelers, is light years ahead of the GSB. Give me F9F Panther and now we’re talking the right place for GSB. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  25. Thanks Kai Enjoying the kit, just a few fit issues that needed some extra attention - smooth and enjoyable sailing. I’m a cockpit guy and enjoy adding a bit of detail if needed and the Quinta Detail Set the addition of the Quinta Detail Set just adds the right touch and they found the perfect approach to adding Good looking and realist seatbelts the Easy way.
