  1. Gaz You found the key to modeling when a kit just fights back way too much, has errors galore and then the parachute and lawn chair additions. Time and a refreshed attitude on a project is the key plus seeing it every day, keeps it in the forefront. Your 109 looks fantastic, wearing her cammo and up on her legs. Keep 'em comin Peter
  2. Nick So glad to read your health issues turned out to be 'nothing' and all is well. Just seems the older we get these issues crop up and have to be dealt with as out main focus. I was diagnosed with cancer 12 months ago and our lives and focus completely changed. Glad you're now back at the bench and the P-40 is underway again. Keep 'em comin Peter
  3. I wasn't sure where to put this but thought it should go here: John B has been sick with Covid, been through a lot, it's been a tough go and John will be alright. Yes, john did have both vaccinations and at our age , it was a huge plus in his recovery. Please no discussion on your feelings or thoughts regarding Covid or the vaccinations, as I just wanted to let everyone know why John hasn't been on line this past week and he is recovering nicely. 4. Give them a shot, you will be very impressed. I also bu much of my modeling supplies from Sprue Brothers Keep 'em comin Peter
  5. Harv - my blunder, Nope, I thought you were talking about the HPH Helldiver. Keep 'em comin Peter
  6. I've been using almost exclusively now for over a good year: MRP Light Gray and Black Lacquer primes and the results are fantastic - smooth as silk and no thinning is required. When I want/need an acrylic primer, my primer of choice then is Ammo b y Mig Gray or Black primer. Easily 95% of my priming is with MRP. Keep 'em comin Peter
  7. Harv Why not just send HPH and email - their customer service is excellent Keep 'em comin Peter
  8. Happy Birthday Harv and many more! 🎂 Keep 'em comin Peter
  9. Mark Awesome progress and looking might good. I had no idea how big the Viggen actually is. I like the idea of a display base for displaying the Viggen. Keep 'em comin Peter
  10. Kent Completely agree - self inflicted “goofs” seem to creep into all our builds - just part of the territory. Terrific progress on the build Keep ‘em comin Peter
  11. Mark Right with Kai, meticulous work and I keep making notes for when I build my Viggem (still waiting). Keep ‘em comin Peter
  12. Mike Added details to the radiator looks terrific. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  13. Gaz Cammo work looks spot on and perfectly done. Thanks for the size comparison pics as the difference in size between the Mardar and the Panther is more then I would have imagined. Sorry to read about your air brush issues - there always to be something to add to the mix. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  14. Craig Fantastic progress - Brilliant work as always. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  15. Kent So glad Gaz's build helped motivate you to build your HS123. Terrific work on your front office and just love those seatbelts. Keep 'em comin Peter
  16. Phil Awesome work on the front office and those seat belts and harnesses - bravo! The look better then a lot of PE belts I've seen and some of mine as well. Keep 'em comin Peter
  17. Thanks Carl I'll add it to my next order for supplies. Thanks again for the tutorial - perfect timing for all of us who bought the Viggen and the DN mask set and never used paint masks before - especially me! Keep 'em comin Petr
  18. Carl Awesome paint work and a fantastic tutorial; on how to use masks. I bought the DN mask set for the Viggen (still waiting of course) and I now have a good idea of how to use them. Much appreciated the time and pics. Keep 'em comin Peter
  19. Martin Your pesky Hurricane looks fantastic - sure wish you had a build thread going as there is so much to see and learn. Keep 'em comin Peter
  20. Harv next to 1/24th scale, 32nd scale is small scale for sure Keep 'em comin Peter
  21. Harv Hope it's on your build schedule right after your helo. Keep 'em comin Peter
  22. Rob Completely agree with your thought process and in camera procedure. For me it's quite different, as photography is a passion and I go the full route from filed work to printing. I always shoot with a Nikon Z7 (a Nikon shooter since the 1970's), shoot always in manual and in RAW. I enjoy doing post work in both Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Your images are beautifully done: clear and sharp and that's all that counts. Keep 'em comin Peter
  23. Oliver Awesome detail work as always and the interior is just brilliant. Keep 'em comin Peter
  24. Carl Nice progress on your Hornet. Glad the test fitting revealed the tab/extension issue and the final fit looks perfect. Keep 'em comin Peter
  25. Rob Absolutely brilliant work and the slightly mottle appearance replicates light weathering perfectly. White balance and hue; if you're shooting in JPEG and not RAW, just set the WB for the lighting that is illuminating the model; incandescent, or fluorescent. What hue are you seeing? If it's a bit warm, just add a bit of blue (cooler) or too cool, then a bit a yellow (warm. Hope this helps Keep 'em comin Peter
