Italeri F-86 Sabre into a Canadair Mk6
Peterpools replied to BlrwestSiR's topic in Modelling Discussion
Carl Any info yet on the work needed to modify the NA Sabre into a Canadian F-86 Sabre yet? Keep 'em comin Peter -
John Tough decision for sure as to which kit to build. I still have the HB B-26B kit and just haven't been able to make the decision as to build it or go for the ICM 48th scale kit. Hoping your choice will help me decide, which way to go Keep 'em comin Peter

Israeli Mirage III C with Atar9C
Peterpools replied to Kaireckstadt's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Kai For a minute, I thought Italeri screwed up and forgot to work it’s magic on the canopy. I’m right with you and like how the Mirage is going to look with the canopy closed. Keep ‘em comin Peter- 719 replies

DB605 Engine 1/18 scale HPH
Peterpools replied to Trigger's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Frank Yikes, turning into a gem of a project not that it wasn't already. Following with great interest. Keep 'em comin Peter -
Alberto Nice work on a tough kit. Glad you're digging in and working your way through all the rough spots. Seeing what you and Kai are going through, I'm seriously thinking of selling my Mirage (still shrink wrapped) plus the Resin Ejection Seat and Atar 9 engine - just way more work then I want to lavish on a kit. Phil My money is on Tamiya's F4 coming in a bit more then ZM's but as always, worth every penny. No question in my mind, the AM and decal guys are working at full speed. I'm still mentally comparing My ZM F-4J and after watching the few build videos on Tamiya's kit and inhaling just sprue shots, lots of the fit issues I've had to over come Papa Tamiya has already taken care of. Guess I'm just an old Tamiya Fan that doesn't stray far from the crowd. Keep 'em comin Peter

Phil Terrific work on the front office - a lot of work but the results will be well worth all the hard work. I'm watching, following and enjoying. Completely agree, the forum (Admins and Mods) need to move the non LSM builds from the bottom of the pile, so more of the guys will see the work. I've been a big proponent of this since coming back to the forum and understand that moving a sub forum would be an expense. So why can't non LSM builds just be place in LSM Works in Progress? Loads of wonderful work being missed for sure. LSM has so many varied types of builds anyway and the scales are all over the spectrum. Keep 'em comin Peter

Carl One good looking Mossie. I hope I’m wrong and Tamiya hasn’t abandoned 32nd scale but there just isn’t any evidence to suggest they are still in the game. Their 48th and 72nd scale kits are the class of the field, have to cost less to produce and the market for those scales is much greater. I had no idea GWH was doing a P-40 and that’s great news. Maybe it’s time for new blood in 32nd scale and stop waiting for Tamiya to produce and truly new kit. Years ago Tamiya owned 1/12 scale Formula One and for numerous reasons they walked away and no longer produce those kits regardless of the reasons. I remember way back when Tamiya wasn’t even in 32nd scale and Hasegawa was king of the hill. Maybe it’s our fault as modelers always demanding perfection that pushes up the kit costs to a level that makes the investment to high and risky. Who knows but I just feel it in my bones, Tamiya is no longer interested in 32nd scale. Hope I’m a 100% wrong Keep ‘em comin Peter
