  1. Nice progress for sure. Your larger fuel lines do look so much better. Terrific rogress Keep 'em comin Peter
  2. Cees Nice progress on cutting out the HUGE wings and completely agree, she is one BIG Gal! Thing the same as Kai, I'm sure you have an idea how you want to add a reinforcing spar for those large wings and to carry the weight from wing tip to wing tip. Keep 'em comin Peter

  8. Gotta love the planning and results, looking. Looking so good Keep 'em comin Peter
  9. Kai Brilliant work -your test fitting is meticulous and revealed a host of problems that you solved ... nice going for sure. I should have been using your 'test fitting' procedure on my Revell Mustang and may have resolved most of the issues I'm still struggling with. Completely agree on your assessment of the kit. 10. Phil Great idea and except for the decals, the Tamiya kit is the entire enchilada. Any cockpit details you want to add -just go with the Quinta cockpit set - it has everything plus a great set of seat belts. Which every way you decide to go, it's going to be an awesome build and I'll be following all the way. Keep 'em comin Peter
  11. John Too good of a deal to pass up if you need a Spit. I've been investing in my ZM He219 upcoming build, kit purchased and all the MPH Paints as well. After that, I'm also pretty much ready for a go at the 1/32 HB B-26B and all the Eduard Big Ed sets, Resin2 resin details parts and replacement R2800 engines to replace the kit radials - not resin but full engines just the same. I've purchased a few 48th scale ZM F4's and Tamiya F-14's. Keep 'em comin Peter
  12. Harv On Tamiya USA site and scroll down the page a bit. Both the 1/32 MK VIII and XVIE are on sale for $99 each. Keep 'em comin Peter
  13. Nice work and enjoying following your progress Keep 'em comin Peter
  14. John Great decision for the new build and I'll be following all the way I only have two Tamiya Spits finished and in the display case: Mk IX and a Mk VIII and no way will I ever catch you in number built. And then add add your Corsair and Mustang builds - staggering for sure. Keep 'em comin Peter
  15. Thanks Kai Can't wait to dig in right after the P-51. I ordered all the MRP paints need for the ZM He 219 Uhu and my major reference is the same as yours: Daniel Zamarblide's book - it's a gold mine and was also my main reference the first time around as well. My goal is a straight OOB build, with all the access panels open and the engines hanging in the breeze. Going to be great having you following my progress and the spark to start your kit as well down the road Keep 'em comin Peter
  16. Phil Completely agree and you have me thinking about ZM kits in a big way. Right now I've very strongly leaning towards the ZM He219 as my next build. Yes, I know I got pretty far with one on the old Large Plane Forum years ago but once I stopped modelling a few years back, I packed it up and filed it away in the attic. A good while later after I was diagnosed with cancer, I was forbidden to climb up into the attic and by now, have no idea where the kit would be. Easiest solution, I bought another kit and will doing a new OOB build, starting after finishing the Revell P-51. Just need to order the correct paints and I should be set. Keep 'em comin Peter
  17. Phil Nice progress - looking so good. Can’t wait for you start the painting stage as I’m about there myself. Still trying to get parts to fit and it’s easy to see you have the fit issues completely under control. I’ve resolved my painted aluminum paint color For the wings and basic NMF base aluminum for the fuselage. My basic plan is to work from a few reference photos for the major panels. Keep ‘em comin Peter
  18. Cees Nice work on the survey - just what the doctor ordered.The. Nose turret surely has all sorts of issues and can’t wait to see how you solve the issue. My money is riding on you Keep ‘em comin Peter
