  1. Well guys, there actually is a 1/32 F-111 kit … a vacform from Tigger Models. Now, we have overcome one hurdle, i.e. scratching the cockpit; and another guy is preparing a 3D-printed MLG well. Anyone willing to 3D design TF-30 exhausts 😏 ? Hubert
  2. Wow, Rob, I know I’d never be able to fold and glue PE, especially of this size, without sending it on a Moon-circumventing trajectory Hubert
  3. Ha ! But it was a lot more work in the « good ol’ times of Uncle Josef ». Can you imagine the amount of work it meant for Beria’s clique to expunge the opponents and « enemies of the revolution » from all the documents and pictures of the time 😰 ? Hubert
  4. Actually, not that it makes a difference in the end, I beg to differ with you in this case, Ernie. I remember well that, back in the summer of 2018, members who were banned or asked their account closed on LSP subsequently appeared in their posts as « Guest_xxxxx ». Here, and that is true for Jennings as well, deleting the account means all posts from the member, Maru in today’s discussion, have been deleted as well, the only trace remaining being when the post was quoted in someone else’s post. Maru appears as a name and in these quotes, but her posts on LSP are gone … So I suppose this is a different software they are using, because this process has to be automated, as I do not see how one can review and then hit the « delete » button for the 22 000 + posts Maru had posted during her membership on LSP… Ultimately, it does not make a difference. As someone else said in this thread, their loss and our gain. Hubert
  5. Exclusive : Ernie « proceeding with happiness and grace » on his Friedrichshafen’s build … Hubert
  6. My problem is generally the reverse. For me, nothing’s worse than having to break your back washing dishes and pans (I am 6’ 3’’). So my criterion is always the height of the bottom of the sink, and I design the counter accordingly. Fortunately, I will have a new kitchen installed in the house I am about to buy, so I will have the kitchen the way I want it (and not the way most kitchens are designed, with too low tops - for me and my wife at least - as in the current, rented, house. Hubert
  7. Can’t agree more. Welcome in the club … Hubert
  8. I have it as well, and I was impressed by the book. Hubert
  9. Definitely so … But that carrier just went through a major dust storm. The yellow jackets will have some washing to do Hubert
  10. « Putty » is probably the most relevant word for this build … Looking at the moldings, it almost looks as if they upscaled the venerable Revell 1/426 kit . Anyway, if someone can tame this beast, it’s gotta be you, Rob … For me, and large ships, it’s 1/200 or nothing … Hubert
  11. He looks more British than Canadian , but great job on the figure painting. Hubert
  12. Very nice Gladiator. It's an airframe that is growing on me, thanks to the great ICM kit. Of course, no camo for me, but one of the garish 1930s silver wings schemes Hubert
  13. Yes, absolutely needed. The attachment of the main float is very weak otherwise, whereas it’s a key part of the airframe. Nice progress, Bill. Hubert
  14. Or paint a lagoon on the wall, with coconut trees, sand beach, coral reef, etc… and hang the Cat on the wall Hubert
  15. Getting there, Peter, even if it takes longer than expected … I know I’d have cut off the X-bracing to have a clear space for seams’ cleaning, and re-glued them at the end … Hubert
  16. I was about to comment like Carl when I read his advice. So, I will just say « +1 ! » Hubert
  17. And cheaper for European items shipped to Europe than the European sellers … Hubert
  18. Yes, Yahu has one set, and the usual outstanding quality … http://www.yahumodels.com/index.php/produkt/yma3210-mosquito-nf-ii-fb-vi-tamiya/ IIRC, CMK had a detail ser for the Mosquito, but it seems OOP. Hubert
