I don't believe that any machine will become self-aware. But I can see that the arms race continues.

Dragon Tiger 1 w/zimmerit next up!
GazzaS replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Whoa, wait a minute! Going armor, and not even US armor?? Who are you and what have you done with JohnB?? Cool beans, John! Looking forward to seeing you build it. Dragon kits are my number 1 preference when it comes to armor. Gaz -
Well... we're all of an age here, Peter. 85% of my club members are 50+

Just my point. There is no real alternative. Back in the 70's, I remember intrepid individuals trying to reduce prices buy suggesting that 'nobody' buy fuel on the weekends. But I don't believe it ever happened.

It floats... it swims... did somebody say catapult?? I know it's not really pretty... but it was a pretty cool plane. Gaz -
Well... I'd rather buy him Tamiya or Hasegawa than Playstation. Good job! Gaz

We are all to blame, really. We keep paying! Why do we keep paying? We are prisoners of our own lifestyles. Still driving that V8? Commuting a long way to work? Gotta fill up for that memorial day vacation? The government and the fuel companies would be fools to give us fair prices. We're too foolish or too imprisoned by our own lifestyles to refuse to buy it. I live 9km from work. Have often thought of biking it... but it's a pretty dangerous place at peak hour. Plus...I'm getting older. I'm no better than the rest... but complaining about fuel prices is as effective as complaining about the weather. Gaz

1/32 Revell RF-4C 14th TRS
GazzaS replied to SapperSix's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
You are entering stage 2 of "rivet-counter-itis". Further bouts of guilt and shame could cause a permanent addiction to strenuous researching, and of course... counting rivets. I prescribed taking two "f*ckitall" three times a day on an empty stomach with at least 8 liquid OZ. of whiskey per dose. As an added measure I suggest watching the movie Stripes with Bill Murray. Carl, I'm not sure what kind of road he was on, or even which province for that matter. All I know for certain is that he was doing 55 and the copper told him to go 60. But there have been many days in my life where I prayed for a cop like that to show up. Gaz

Very nicely done, John! I like your subtle chipping. Gaz -
One of the happiest moments of my teen life was when my Grandfather told me about driving through Canada from Alaska back to Michigan where I lived. Now, Grandpa was a speed limit devotee. They're driving through Canada at the speed limit, traffic stacked up behind them. To my grandpa's great consternation, he was the one pulled over by the Canadian police. Then, he was issued a ticket for impeding the flow of traffic. Although I listened to the story with a sombre face, inside I was LMAO-ing and spiritually high-fiving the Canadian cop. Life would be so much better if more cops did this. Gaz

Great Pictures, Jeff! I'm still undecided how I'm going to go about doing the lozenge on the fuselage. Though, other things have been tying up my time. Gaz

I had hoped to retain some of the metallic look from beneath the washes on the missiles wings. But it has disappeared under three coats. This is all new terrain for me, as before I had only dirtied up some "metallic" parts before. Also, I've noticed that many things change once hit with matte finish.

Rob, Thank you! I don't have any copper pigments. But I could make a thin wash of Tamiya gold enamel. I;m not really sure between which two parts are contrasting too much. Thanks! Gaz
