That is a great looking bird, John! Gaz -
Came in the mail yesterday. Along with some Masterclub tracks. Hopefully I won't break too many track pins. Got some milliput too... but didn't think it photoworthy...lol Gaz

I am amazed at the number of different controls you've picked out. It's all very stunning! I can't remember the color of the phantom's seats I saw in California... Even though I sat on them! I do remember walking down the spine and on the wings. It's a big bird. I felt like I was standing on a bus if I remember correctly. Gaz -
Looks great!

Rent one of those storage containers you can park in the driveway.

Do any of you guys listen to Bob and Tom? They have a bit Called: "Dicken's Cider". Their show is out of Indianapolis but they are syndicated throughout the US. I was listening to them on the web recently, too. Great gags, to all who contributed. Martin:

I leave that one for the daughter to get her. But thanks for the suggest. Part of the gift giving ritual is to talk with other rellies about what they want to buy so there aren't any duplicates. Gaz Gaz

Alfred E. Neuman would have been funnier.

See... if you had never touched it, you could be blissfully building models. But now you know what you must do! Gaz

Peter, Things are looking great. and I'm glad you've gone with your own color decision. Gaz -
I appreciate the help. Of course, the missus could foil my plan by not getting me the item at the top of my Christmas wish list. For her part, she doesn't have a wish list, which forces me to fumble about trying to get her a gift. Housewares don't apply, because she says they are for the house. Why can't wimmin be simple to buy for?? Dammit. She doesn't knit, do pottery, or collect knick-knacks. She got overstocked on perfume last year and I teched her up with the new Ipad last year. That pretty much leaves jewelry. Hell, she barely even drinks! Gaz

RIP Mr. President.

Leading and trailing edges are good! I can foil them with little fear of peeling.

Yes, I'm going to foil it. It's really much easier than you might think. I start with a piece of the thinnest, cheapest foil that is about 5"X7", apply the glue to the back side then let it dry. Then I cut for each separate panel unless there are small panels together with no complex curves. Once when foiling a 1/48 B-29 (that I never completed) I needed some pieces that were over 8" long, and they were a bit fiddly. If you ever get the urge again, let me know, and I'll show you where I started. You fellas that can get a suitable finish from Alclad and other metalized paints impress the hell out of me. But my non-foil metal painting has been rather lackluster. I still use foil for oleos. Gaz
