Jagdpanther are always a great one to build. My favourite variant of the Panther family.

An assembly line process could work, especially if there's a lot of repetition in the paint and assembly steps. I've done it before when I did 4 Spitfires at the same time. The Revell F-4 kits are straightforward enough too. No engines to deal with and the fit is generally decent. The question becomes do you have enough bench space?

If you have a paint shop near you, see if they carry Blue Dolphin tape. It's the same as Tamiya tape but is much cheaper. https://www.dolphinsundries.com/product/washi-tape/ I got it at the local Benjamin Moore shop.

That's good to know. I have a couple of those at least. Saves me from buying another "paint stand". -

Jeroen, how do you find the various aircraft parts that you incorporate into your build? -

Looks good there Phil. Nice to see it cross the line. The big reason I found mine to be a Mojo killer was building it at the same time as the HK Mossie. -
They certainly would. There's even AM decals and resin available for them so it can feel like a real GB.

Thanks Paul! Those Hasegawa Egg Girls are very nicely done figures. I have one of their JASDF F-15J egg plane kits around somewhere. Might need to dig it out and add it to the build.

So, not quite Tamiya build quality. Glad you took the short break and have come back to it.

We had to stop by the LHS for Edward to get some stuff for a school project. While there I saw a case of Bandai Tie Inceptors. Having wanted one for a while, I grabbed one. I was so excited by this I forgot to pick up my MDC Typhoon that I had bought. Guess I'll have to go back again.

Thanks @Peterpoolsand @ScottsGT! I'm definitely looking after the old heart and so is my doctor and cardiologist. Glad to hear you might have something for your knee there Scott. Peter, glad to hear Diane is in good hands for her recovery.

Oh boy, I guess that makes me a toddler at 53. My bad knee had been with me since I was 12 or so. Acts up once in a while for a couple days and then goes away. Biggest scare healthwise was my heart attack and triple bypass when I was 48. At least my cardiologist is mostly happy with my health these days.

Paul, there's going to be so much potential for the kit. Like you said, a lot of users and a lot of variants. I wouldn't mind an M163 one myself. -

No pics yet but Andy's HHQ has just announced that their next 1/16 kit will be an M113 APC with the option of doing it as an ACAV version. -

The bench reorganization continues. I finally got the paint racks back up on the wall and off the floor. I also sorted through them and consolidated things. This will hopefully give me more room on the bench as I work through the big pile(s) of stuff still on it. -
Sorry to hear about Diane's fall. I'm glad it wasn't anything worse than that. Hope there aren't any complications from it. Give her our best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Time to finally call this one done. I added the last few parts to the 262 which was mostly the antenna and that was it. The bench is still a work in progress so I'll try to take some better pics soon. Maybe on the weekend.

Late last year I contacted a vendor on eBay whom I had previously purchased a set of resin rims and tires for a 1/12 Porsche. I asked if he could do some rims for my 1/12 Countach and he agreed. At the same time I asked about replacement tires for my Tamiya 1/12 McLaren MP4/6. The originals were badly deformed from age and I was just going to build it without. He had a set of slicks for the other F1 cars in that scale but didn't have an MP4/6 for use as a template so I sent my rims to him. Today, I got a package full of rims and tires. The Countach rims along with a new set for the Ford GT40 which I also sent along at his request. The new MP4/6 tires. The black rims are the kit ones I sent him. He made resin versions as well as a rain tire version and sent me those too. You can see the tread pattern here compared to the slick. Here's what my kit tires look like after 31 years. Needless to say I'm thrilled by this and now I can consider getting my longest running kit build finally done. Maybe.

Not a bad idea.
