  1. Cool! I have all of those in the stash to build.
  2. Thanks John. I've taken it out of the box so many times and dry fitted bits that it just seemed time to build it. I'll be doing mine with the wings unfolded. I had the folded wings but sent that one to Scott for his build.
  3. Well, this has been in the stash long enough and watching @ScottsGT build his Hobbycraft version was enough impetus to start on mine. Forgot to take a box pic but imagine lots of white tissue with resin unobtainium inside. So like most aircraft builds, I started with the cockpit. I did a base coat of NATO black and then added some RLM66 over top.
  4. I feel your pain on the tracks. At least they're a decent size. The craziest ones I've done were Model Kasten T-48 tracks for a Sherman. 2 pins, 2 track pad halves, 2 end connectors, 1 duck bill and 2 rivets per track link. All needing removal and cleanup before assembly.
  5. Just don't start working on your Mustang fastback as I don't have one of those.
  6. Looks like 1/1 scale.
  7. Lovy paint job Peter. The P-38 looks fantastic. Glad to hear you're feeling better. As for Tamiya decals, I'm not always the biggest fan but one trick I have found to help get them to adhere is to use a damp hot cloth to press down on them. Put some decal softener on them, wait a bit and then press down with the cloth. I use a microfibre one for that. Some folks use a hair dryer to get the same results. On my Grey Nurse Spitfire, I used the kit decals for the shark mouth as the masks didn't work out. They managed to confirm to every rivet and fastener nicely.
  8. What about "Here Kitty, Kitty"? This could encompass anything feline related and would allow aircraft, armour and even cars.
  9. To paraphrase The Simpsons a bit: "Urge to build my Sea Fury rising..."
  10. The replacement light seems to have worked. You could also try UV gel. That is usually clear as well.
  11. Great photos Gary. Did you get the chance to ride in any of the tanks?
  12. Great progress there John. I think on day 2 of my PCM Hurricane, I had the IP together.
  13. Ernie, thanks for the update. Like the others have said, wish him well and a speedy recovery. Carl
  14. Martin, thanks for letting us know. Please keep us appraised as best you can. Ernie, thanks for heading over and helping out. It's always great to have friends there in person. Carl
  15. Construction is done on Andromeda. Just need to do the decals.
  16. Peter, it's certainly a different way to fight the carpet monster.
  17. Oops, forgot to post the Andromeda itself.
  18. One nice thing about having a cat in your lap when I'm at the bench. She acts as a catch-all for parts I drop. Makes it easier to find them than searching on the floor.
  19. Looks to be an awesome museum to visit. Have fun and look out for more photobombs.
  20. Wow, stunning work seeing it all come together. At least you can lift the turret off and see most of the interior that way.
  21. I just need to have the kids lean waaayyyy back in their seats.....
  22. Scott, I didn't notice if there were lenses. So hopefully they're in the box or I'll need to make some too.
  23. Now that Trumpeter has announced the floatplane version, I might just need to get these.
