Certainly hope it's nothing as serious as that Harv. We have a pretty terrible incidence of that up here in Scotland and they reckon it's partly linked to lack of vitamin D due to the lack of strong sunshine. Kind of fits as incidence is high in Scandinavia as well, but our melanoma rates are going up as well, so go figure that one! Congrats on passing 1000 posts as well!

Sorry to hear that Harv. As I work in the NHS here I have no understanding of your healthcare system but I think that's an over-reaction. We now routinely MRI virtually everyone irrespective of whether their pacemakers, leads, stents, etc are listed as 'MR safe' or not and with no detriment to anyone. Hope you get the scan soon. I'm blessed that I never get headaches so I can't imagine the torment of having them almost permanently.

Looks like a really nice conversion. The pic of it balanced on the Extra Thin makes it look the lovechild of a 109 and a pelican.

Great finish Gaz and a nice dynamic pose. I can just imagine the teeth-rattling thump as that pitches forward to land!

Bit more of my intermittent progress. Underside all masked off and the tan areas painted and also masked. Forgot to take pictures at that stage but got a bit carried away with the progress. So current stage is base coat of the middle green on and thin layers of various faded and deepened versions will now be added over this. The preshading layers of marbling look a bit too stark on the upper wings but will hopefully fade in with the additional layers over this.

Great result Peter. I think the 3D printed aluminium stuff is actually sintered rather than printed. Took my daughter to an open day at Strathclyde University a few years back, as she was thinking of doing their Design & Manufacture course, and they had a whole variety of 3D printers. One of them was a joint venture with Rolls-Royce and they were looking at 3D printing turbine blades for their new generation engines. It was extremely cool but she decided against the course in the end - I was a little disappointed just 'cos I wanted to see more of the kit they had!

I'd agree with Harv and Smitty that the Tamiya F-15s are the way to go. You can pick the 15C up fairly reasonably from some of the Chinese sellers on ebay. I'd recommend the GT Resin stuff for the intakes and cans if you do decide to add any aftermarket.

Sorry to hear that Harv. Hopefully the MRI is clear. Some of the neuro sequences are a bit 'noisy' so make sure sure they give you decent earplugs.

Nice touch! Though the ride could get bumpy if he gives the front seater a DRE in flight.

Thanks guys. Nige, keep hold of the Zacto stuff, it's like rocking horse poop now and the nose and canopy corrections are going for crazy money. I just couldn't convince myself it was worth it for a build where everyone likely to see it in the display case (other than me) wouldn't know a Corsair from a Vauxhall Corsa!
