Hang in there Jeff and just remember it isn't personal. My mother-in-law has been declining with vascular dementia for the last five years and is now in care. I've known her for the best part of 30 years and for the first 28 I never heard her swear once. BUT boy is she making up for it now!! If it wasn't so sad it would be hilarious some of the things she says now, all filters gone, it just comes straight out! My kids just don't know quite how to deal with their sweet ol' grandma sounding like some gangsta rapper!

1/32nd scratch build RAF towed Bowser COMPLETED
GusMac replied to FME erk's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
You must have plenty of space to fit all this plus a Lanc in one display. Looks brilliant though! -
WOW!! No sign of any printer deposition patterns there!

Sounds great Mike but I'm not seeing the pics. Anyone else the same?

Nice work on such a fiddly job. -
Got to have the correct inflation mechanism though...

RCAF Lanc 10MP. This really is a group effort

WTF? Surely that's a 'what if' isn't it? -
Yeah strange choice Harv. Would be a bit like using 'Death Drive' by HMLTD for a car ad?!

Glad to hear your wife is recovering well. Back problems are never good but at least this sounds like a good fix. Wrt the smells, how does the AK thinner smell? I tend to thin Tamiya with Mr Levelling Thinner and it smells way more than the paint.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK2qBEvP2uk Not sure how you guys post those Youtube videos but hopefully this link will work. My fav modern metal band at their very best.

Still think that, Gimme Shelter and Paint it Black are the best things the Stones ever did

Hope your wife ok Danny and it wasn't anything too serious.

Congrats Martin. Rammstein and July Talk - cool choices. Canada has produced some cruelly underrated bands over the years - Rush, The Tragically Hip and now July Talk.

Nice scratch work! -
That's a cool kit Rob. Never really explored the Sci-fi kits but having seen this and some of the Bandai stuff the quality seems high and the subjects interesting. I see another potential money-pit ahead!

Thanks for the feedback Danny. Will invest in a few to give them a try.

Wow Danny that's a serious investment but nicely packaged. Never tried them but I understand they're acrylic lacquers, so are they similar to the Tamiya ones?

KITTY HAWK Mirage 2000 Family (1/32)
GusMac replied to Ivan Ivanovich's topic in Modelling Discussion
Yeah, the Greeks do a great line in grubby airframes. Pity they only fly the single seaters as this is one kit where I'd really go for the dual-holer. Never built a KH kit and I know they have some real Marmite reviews but this one will be seriously tempting.- 82 replies

Ah, the old finger print camo. Definite favourite in my youth as well! Still happens occasionally now.... -
Ernie, that's an oddball kit of an oddball airframe! Looks interesting though and nice to see someone making these weird Italian birds.

Great news Harv. Hope the neurologist gets to the bottom of things. Actually that would need to be a proctologist.....

Interesting watch, although not a lot of really new material. Was interesting to see just how far they went to conceal the bodies though, trash bags, cans, etc. I have no idea of US law but here in the UK a few folk from NASA and Morton Thiokol would have been potentially facing manslaughter charges in similar circumstances. Poor guys like Boisjoly got hung out to dry to save asses further up the line but Feynman knew they were right and was able to show it at the commission hearing. Hearing the Smith family lawyer speak and re-watching the footage of the crew walking out does make you think that he was definitely not happy with things. Brave, brave people - as was famously said 'it's a sobering thought sitting on top of the world's biggest firecracker when you know every component underneath you has been chosen for being cheapest on a NASA tender exercise'!

That's a lot of PE! The springs look amazing like that.
