I've been tempted by those set a few times but I've done my own for the B-17, although I still have to work out a suitable power supply....... Craig Thank you Craig. You seem to like challenges when you’ve done your own for your B-17. And for sure with your skills you will find a solution for the power-supply. Mine has included a battery-pack for 4 AA-cells. 2

It's interesting to see all of the interior plumbing you have added. electronics are so beyond me. I can wire stuff together... but don;t really understand how to use a circuit board like you're using. Thank you Gary! The set is easy to use and self-explanatory. Should be no problem at all for you to use it. You only have to find ways for the cables and a place for the circuit board. 3
KevinM Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 I am not a big jet guy Kai but you do really nice work/effects. 3

Kaireckstadt Posted May 20, 2022 Author Posted May 20, 2022 Thank you for your feedback! I didn’t have much time for the bench last week because I was at a model fair. Have only painted and weathered the main gear wheel wells: 5 1
GusMac Posted May 20, 2022 Posted May 20, 2022 Looking good Kai, lots of detail like your Mirage wells. 3

Peterpools Posted May 23, 2022 Posted May 23, 2022 Kai Right with Gus and Kev, your wheel wells are looking amazing. Keep 'em comin Peter 1
Kaireckstadt Posted May 27, 2022 Author Posted May 27, 2022 Thank you all for your feedback. I was able to keep my wallet shut, Kevin. Wasn’t easy but it worked 😉. I have finished the wheel wells now including the integration of the big currency cables which will run through the tires into the baseplate later on. Everything you see is just painted. No extra wiring this time. The wash picking out the details of the wheel-wells was done with oil-colors. Next will be the main landing-gear legs. 8 1
Peterpools Posted May 27, 2022 Posted May 27, 2022 Kai Fantastic progress ... wheel wells look awesome, as the detailing and detail painting is off the chart Keep 'em comin Peter 1

Kaireckstadt Posted June 10, 2022 Author Posted June 10, 2022 Thank you all for your feedback ! I hope that you have as much fun with the set as I have Mark. After some absence I found some time to continue my build. I finished the main landing gear legs and the painting of all intake parts after removing several visible sink-marks on them (thank you Italeri! 🤬). Next step will be the painting of the black edges and assembly of the intakes. 7 1
Peterpools Posted June 11, 2022 Posted June 11, 2022 Kai Nice work on finishing up the gear and the intake paint work. Just keep going as timer allows. Keep 'em comin Peter 1 1

Kaireckstadt Posted June 12, 2022 Author Posted June 12, 2022 Thank you all for your feedback! Small update: today I finished the black stripes inside the intakes. Again lots of masking but now it’s finished. This is how the real thing looks like: And my work: Masking… And painting finished: With this finished I can now go on with the assembly of the mid fuselage section. 6 1
