@Bomber_County, @Peterpools, Radu has replied on LSP that the ZM 190 has not been abandoned. So it's still moving forward at the same pace it always has.

Gotta love these rumours. There was one on Britmodeler about Tamiya discontinuing their paints earlier this week.

Thanks Carl, another urban myth dispatched to the dusty corner of someone’s imagination……

Just saw a CAD drawing from CMK for a 65 HP Continental engine for the L4. Things are looking really good.

...and there seems to be a civilian version planned.

Rob for the

Thank you for the AWESOME update!  I wonder if SH might also be tinkering with a traditional J3 with the teardrop shape rear window and no plexiglass over the cockpit area. Either way I'm fine with the kit and the CMK upgrades and can't wait.

Has anyone used or sampled the No Carrier Film Decals from Fantasy Printshop.

I was reading about these and they sound pretty good to me as I do tend to get silvering even if they are on a high gloss coat. They are a UK based manufacturer.

I haven't heard of the company or read any reviews but No Carier Film Decals sound fantastic. I'll do a little checking and see what I can find out.

Thanks Paul

I've now been on the site and started looking for reviews. So far, the carrierless decals have had positive reviews and I'm still looking for more reviews. Thinking of giving them a try, especially on a NMF aircraft, which I think is the hardest surface to decals and have the carrier film vanish, especially if you are looking at the markings on an angle.

I've been reading reviews and have been to their seb site. It seems that the decals that do not have carrier film are letter and number sheets and not full aircraft sheets, or at least I haven't found them yet. Still a great idea and one better then Eduart's where the carrier film needs to be peeled off.

Another interesting kit from Border Models is announced in 35 scale. I guess, they made it only to have their BF-109 kit for a flyover diorama :stirthepot:  Salt into wounds modus off :D

Just saw that to, this is interesting yet another genre…….well done Border……..I was also reading about AK releasing various Panzers and Pumas, apparently all re-boxings of the Dragon kits. Am I missing something because I do not see the point…….

I do, earning money, I guess :D. I am not so well informed, but had a slight interest into the Puma and the Dragon ones are hard to find, at least in hobby stores. For the Panzer IV, I don't know, if they are available from Dragon. They have better painting guides, more painting variants and new decals as a bonus.

It would nicely with the Bronco 1/35 Type XXIII kit. That is a big kit. Bronco have a couple of the midget subs out in 1/35 too.

BTW, I read in February in the Modellbaukönig blog (a very large German HS, normally well informed), that  Bronco models stopped / 'paused' their production. Is that confirmed?

Not good news at all. Always bad news when a model company decides to stop production of their kits and then it becomes a waiting game as to whether or not they will resume production.

With the F-4G coming out, hopefully a slatted wing E won't be too far behind. That could push me over the edge into 1/48 jets.

As iconic for Warsaw Pact pilots as the Fouga Magister for some European NATO pilots. Me, I am waiting for Daco’ s Fouga.
