Good to see you beat the big ugly John cannot even tell there was a fit problem.:notworthy:

Thanks Kevin. As they say, it's not over til it's over. :) Still got the gunners station, landing gear attachment and some smaller stuff to take care of. On the home stretch though!!! :)

Now that really sucks John and a hard-core rework needed to get the fit!

Regards. Andy

That takes cojones, no doubt!  I remember cutting that first RCAF rear observer window out of that very expensive HK Lanc plastic a d thinking “well, I ain’t turning back now”.  🤣

Gotta have a little faith, baby!

John, which GSB are you using?  My kit is calling to me now, although I have the open rear gunner area and bomb bay. I think I’ll forego the folded wings for now as well.

Plus, can you possibly drill the plastic flaps to maybe add some relief and detail?  It might go a long way towards giving those some “pop”.

Looking good John, regarding the undercarriage I purchased these Reskit wheels for my build

They are beautifbeautifully cast with smooth tread and think they also dona set with diamond tread. Will make a big difference over the kit parts.

It's Testor's Ernie. I keep several bottles on hand! The plastic flaps have a fair amount of relief and detail but drilling out all those little holes is a chore I'll take a pass on! Since I already have the PE set I'll think about working on them later on and, if they work out okay, I'll remove the plastic ones and attach them. However, I don't have much "want to" on 'em right now.

They do look good Andy. Wish I'd had them before I assembled the kit items but the kit ones will do. :)

Looking good from a not too promising start, nice job of taming the Beast.

Cheers

Thanks Dennis! :) Still got a fair amount of work to accomplish.

Got the GSB on and the landing gear attached. I'll attach the gear doors later as I'd probably knock 'em off moving the model around. :)

Thanks Hubert! That thought came to me a little earlier. It certainly qualified as a sow's ear! LOL :)

Thanks Kevin. I admit, I'm really out of room for more built models. 🤪 I've put some in boxes with peanuts and other packing material just to make a little room. 😄

Maybe it's time to start working more and more in 48th scale so precious display spce can be found?

Keep 'em comin

Peter

I gave that some consideration but it seems the models I want to build are mostly 1/32. I just ordered another KH T-28C from Hannant's earlier today and think that will be next up (maybe). I don't expect to build any more 1/32 twins etc. :)

John, you did go strictly OOB, right? But for the seat?

I pulled mine out today and looked at the open gunner position, and it’s a VERY easy and quick modification.  The separate control surfaces are nice, too.  I’m pretty Gung Ho about building one now, and if it comes out half as nice as yours I’ll be thrilled.

That looks great, after I finish my current builds I might go on a USN 3 kit theme and include the SB2C.

Cheers
