So... I understand one of the overflow hotels is Ernie's place? Right on!

(The drive isn't too far from the convention center ..)

Apparently the vendors room will be in his shed.

He would need his own room for his stash if he were a vendor....

I love that part of Texas, but I honestly don't know if I can handle that place in August. The last time I was in that part of TX, it was June, and San Antonio was like walking on the sun.

Joy wanted me to post this for y’all regarding the humidity.
This was this year on one of our humid days.  BIG Texas hair. It’s twice as bad there, so warn y’all’s ladies to bring plenty of ponytail holders, or they’ll look like a triangle with their hair down…

Why is every national IPMSs event hosted in severely harsh climates ? It feels like a contest on its own about who can beat the last year location. :)

Calgary has its chance then 😂

Becsuse the convention is held in the summer in the United States. All the comfortable places are overpriced and crowded. They are overpriced year round actually. . Also the most comfortable places are on the coasts, and they have been shooting for more centralized locations as of late it would seem.

Maybe its time to look across the ocean and take a hint, Telford, Moshon, E-day , Nuremberg toy fare, etc. are usualy in between the holiday seasons, for a reason and not colliding with each other.

Thinking most of our families would not approve. High desert and the plains aren't necessarily nice in the winter either. The young modelers eould be in school also.
