I'm calling this one done. After all the paint peel off problems I'm fairly happy with the way it finally turned out. After market items are a AMS cockpit and seat plus a exhaust cone. As this kit is a G/S it did not come with any US national markings so I had to scrounge what was needed from my decal stash. Luckily I had all the one's that I needed. I re-primed the model with Testor's gloss white which worked well with the Alclad aluminum, etc after the bad peel off with the Alclad gray primer. THAT nearly sent the model to the SOD! LOL 😄 I'm glad I could "save" the build although there are still a couple of areas where some residuals show through. I just decided to live with it. I hope y'all like the model!

Looks great John.  Thought maybe you might do it in the Alcald polished aluminum.
Beautiful finish never the less.  Makes me want to drag out my "C" and do it.

Cheers,
Jerry

Thanks Jerry! Saved from the SOD. I'll have to get some Alclad polished aluminum. It would have looked good on this model. :)

Looks great John. Glad you got it off the SoD, even if it was only there for a few hours.

Carl

Thank you Carl. I was so disgusted with all the peel off problems I had intended for it to be a near permanent resident there! LOL But I'm glad I changed my mind as I think it turned out okay. Certainly not a contest worthy model but okay for my shelves. :)

Great save and your 104 looks perfect as always. Super work on the NMF.

Thank you Peter. :)I'm happy with the results even if they aren't 100% on the mark.

Glad yours doesn't turn into a lawn dart, John. Your Starfighter looks absolutely beautiful and crisp in it's finish. If I ever build one, it can only be in NMF, which let the plane look so pure.

Cheers Rob

Thanks Rob! I think the 104 is just made to be in NMF. Very attractive in my opinion too! :)

Came out really great!  For as fantastic as it looks, amazing it sat on the SOD.

Thank you Mike. I had to take a break from it for a bit but decided to go on and finish it. I'm glad I did as I really like the way it turned out. 😀

Really nice recovery and way to get back into it.  Hate to miss such a nice cockpit and the plane is just iconic.  Very cool you have the photograph of the aircraft.

NMF is so unforgiving, but your repair job looks terrific.  Great job!

Thank you, I appreciate that. I'm pleased with the final result but there was a time I didn't think I would get it finished!:)

Very smooth finish John, somehow I completely missed out on your build. You're too fast :)

Thank you Martin. :)
