The shades, to my old eye at least, look good, and will look even better when dulled and shaded. But regarding the RAF pattern, to me it seems pretty “close”, but not exact to the factory B type reverse pattern. 2

The pattern to me looks pretty close to the official scheme, close enough for government work, maybe some tweaks on the tail. Cheers Dennis 7
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted April 26, 2023 Author Administrators Posted April 26, 2023 Now some fading. Nice! Fun! 5
BlrwestSiR Posted April 28, 2023 Posted April 28, 2023 Looks great Ernie. The gloss coat definitely seems to have solved the decal issue. 4
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted April 30, 2023 Author Administrators Posted April 30, 2023 I’m seeing the end of this quick build soon enough. 8

Cheers Dennis Yes, that looks pretty close, Dennis. I’ll mess with the rudder a bit, but for the most part, it looks good to me. Thanks for the info, Sir. 3

Administrators Clunkmeister Posted May 10, 2023 Author Administrators Posted May 10, 2023 Last Thursday, one of the landing lights, all nicely detailed, dropped onto the floor, and despite having completely disassembling my build room to find it, it is long gone. No carpet on the floor, just hardwood, and it’s still simply vanished. I saw it hit the floor and go shooting off somewhere. On this aircraft, the lights are very visible behind their covers, so they can’t be explained away if not there. I guess I’ll try to beg another appropriate sprue from Revell. 😡 1

Yours was a lost cause, Ernie 😂 Hubert PS: besides loving to tease you, my friend, that’s a bummer. Fortunately, Revell have a good spares department 1
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted May 11, 2023 Author Administrators Posted May 11, 2023 Well guys (and gal). My Hurricane llb build is now at a screeching halt as I wait for a replacement sprue with the landing lights to come from Germany. I have looked at possibly using different lights from the Fly kit, but the Revell kit’s are much different, and, I think, look better. So, in the week or two I’m stopped, I’ll start on the Aichi Val. 2
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted May 24, 2023 Author Administrators Posted May 24, 2023 Today, I got a little box from Revell, GMBH, and I was thrilled to find this inside. Revell’s Service is second to none! 7
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted May 24, 2023 Author Administrators Posted May 24, 2023 And then, a bit of paintwork, and drop the wayward part into place. Landing Lights are a very prominent part of the Hurricane, I was unwilling to make something. These a Revell reflectors are exquisite! 9
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted May 24, 2023 Author Administrators Posted May 24, 2023 Dang! I may need to revisit those gun insert gaps! 3
recon Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 Picked up my kit today. Looking forward to starting it when I get home. Mike 2

I had mixed my RAzf interior green using ratios I got off od Britmodeler, and it was indistinguishable from Modelmaster 3
Peterpools Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 Ernie MRP RAF Interior Gray Green looks mighty good and surely looks the part. 3
Steve Eagle Posted May 27, 2023 Posted May 27, 2023 Just walk bare footed on your floor now and you will find find that lost part😃 nice that you got a replacement though. 1 2
