Hey all

Small update for you to look at. I've started on the floor for the fighting compartment.

20230615_190108.jpgThis view shows the side supports for the floor plates and turret basket floor.

20230615_190229.jpgThis view shows the floor and basket floor in there positions. There are four ammo boxes two on each side that go on either side of the floor plates.

20230615_154940.jpgThis view shows the cargo net I made from some material I got at Hobby Lobby. I also got some stuff to make a scale date palm tree for the diorama. A scale palm in 1/16 is (they grow to 100 feet) 6' 3" tall!:omg: and approximately 24" across the leaves. Thats as big as my diorama, almost. I'm going to make mine around 18" to 24" tall with 8" to 10" long palm leaves, even thsts huge.

20230616_174225.jpgCloser view of the Turret basket. This is ALOT! of stuff to scratch build.:omg:

20230616_174549.jpgThis view shows the 1/16 turret and the beginnings of the turret basket. It's just the floor for now, but I'm working on it.

Hey all

I did a little more work on the Tiger 1. I've been trying to copy the RFM 1/35 scale Tiger 1's interior, but it ain't been easy.

20230619_154301.jpgThis view shows the 1/35 scale complete turret basket.

20230619_154242.jpgThis is a closer look at the turret drive motor.

20230619_154333.jpgThis view shows the 1/35 basket on the right and my version in 1/16 scale on the left. To do all of what is in the 1/35 basket is going to take a loooonnngg! time.

20230619_154209.jpgA view of the 1/16 scale basket.

20230619_154154.jpgThis is a closer view of my 1/16 basket drive motor.

20230619_154134.jpgAnother view of the drive motor.

20230619_154722.jpgThis view shows what the turret basket looks like in the turret. There is a lot of stuff crammed in there.

20230619_155133.jpgThis view shows my 1/16 scale version of the same thing. As you can see I have a lot of stuff to scratch build.:hsmack::wallbash: Well that's it for now be back with more updates soon.

Hey guys

I'm back, thank god for this hobby it allows me to concentrate on modeling and not on my sons death. Ok, enough morbid crap. I did some more work on the Tigers transmission.

20230625_184857.jpgThis view shows the fighting compartment floor, rear fire wall and the trans with the radio and the steering wheel I scratch built.

20230625_185123.jpgcloser view of the turret basket floor.

20230625_185100.jpgThis view shows the steering wheel and the front of the trans.

20230625_185028.jpgThis view shows the radio and trans from the radio operators area. Also I found some ammo boxes from a company in Germany. There are also a bunch of gertsaks that go here.

20230625_185228.jpgThis view shows a closer look at the radio.

20230625_185512.jpgThis view shows the AFV Modeller resin radio. This is actually the one that AFV has for the Panzer IV.

Hey all

Just a small update for you all to look at.

20230626_173611.jpgSo this is a picture of the transmission and radios. I added the shifter (black knob) and the forward/reverse lever (red knob). I  know it's not 100% correct, but it looks cool. I also got a start on the instrument panel.

20230626_173556.jpgThis view shows the steering wheel and it's mechanism that I scratch built. That's all for now be back soon with more.
