Lost my carpet monster.

Recommended Posts

My ever faithful bench companion and personal carpet monster Fursnake just passed away. She went quietly and peacefully here at home this morning.

She was 20 and we knew this was coming but it's still going to be different not having her around.

She was the last of our pets that Sue and I had when we got together.

One of my favourite pics of her. The laptop ended up overheating and died later that day.

So sorry about your loss Carl. You gave her an amazing life. Maybe one day you will discover a hidden work bench full of the lost parts covered in fur and in the center of it some crazy cat-project designed to take over the universe.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate it.

Like always, she did thing on her terms. Sue emailed the vet this morning when she saw Fur was having a hard time moving and thought it was time to bring her in. Fur had other ideas. Not 5 minutes later she was gone, quietly in her sleep.

So sorry to hear that Carl. Hope the boys aren't too upset.

Our last cat made it to 19 and the longer they live the closer you know it's getting but it's never any easier. At least she went naturally.

Thanks Gus.

Edward had a harder time with it today and ended up staying home from school. She's not the first pet we've lost since having the boys but that doesn't make it easier.

You have our sympathy it's not nice but that is the price you pay for all the fun and companionship that pets bring, they are part of the family, we lost  our two cats a few years ago and it was devastating.

Carl,  I'm adding my sympathy to the thread here - so sorry to hear of your loss.  Good to hear you had 20 good years, though.  If that is the case, I may still have five more years with my little furball.  Thanks for sharing.
