Soo.... What did you just get???

Well, it finally came! ' Been waiting since April for this one.

It's Andy's M113A1/M113A1 ACAV  2 in 1 (AHHQ-009) in 1/16 scale.

A look at the instructions and inside the box .....And it looks like

an excellent kit with a lot of detail. There's photo-etch, working suspension, a full interior, some cable,  decal stencils for every bit of equipment, and a figure. I'm really excited about this

one. And the best part-----it's Huge !

That M113 is going to be a fun build Paul.

The great thing about it is there's so much scope for AM conversions and accessories. I wouldn't mind an M163 variant myself.

Not to mention decal aftermarket possibilities for all the countries that

used this thing! There are already a number of accessory figures and

stowage options on Andy's site.  I just looked up the M 163 variant. That would be cool!

Indeed Carl, what an icon. I haven´t realized, its for sale now. Please do a WIP

Cheers Rob

It came out last week. I ordered it from Hiroboy and was quite surprised how quickly it arrived.

I'll definitely have a WIP once I start it.

Probably the car that comes to mind for most folks if you ask them to name a rally car.

Yours truly has everything crossed that this might be under the Xmas tree this year!

Unless my hints have been just too subtle.... 😆

Some recent items.......note; No model kits!

Some resin aftermarket for The Andy's big M 10 from AFV, and

from CSM, doors for their Gruson Fahrpanzer...the kit doors have

tools molded in.....these don't... I didn't want to use the kit doors.

Also some tweezers...these have diamond grit coated tips.

I bought a set of these before with pointed tips....I found them

to work great! These have slanted tips.

Also bought  two sets of "cloud pattern" pre-cut masks....thought

I'd give them a try.

Some Masking solution it took more than two weeks to arrive !

The first week was spent moving around New York  state.....Then

It spent a week stuck in Indianapolis..... Then, it took 3 days to

get to my address !...... WTF !

Also a set of brushes......15 in all.

Bought this years ago, as in at least a couple decades if not three. Anyways found it at jy parents' place tonight. It was wrapped in a plastic bag as you can see and was in my sister's home office.

I think it's complete but as we were all headed out to dinner I didn't get a chance to check. I'll pick it up next I'm over and find out.

Paul, where did you get the tweezers from? They look like they'd be pretty handy.

Not really modeling tweezers, but they work really well. They are

shorter than my other tweezers making them handle better.

. The diamond grit coated tips prevents them from

launching small parts across the work bench and into oblivion.

The pointed tweezers tips are sharp, rigid and grip well.

Actually there's quite a few I could name ... I missed the Carlos Saintz era with the dodgy-illegal, yet brilliant Celicas ...

Most of my interest was directed toward the era of the battles between Subaru and Mitsubishi ... and my love of the Evo with fond memories of Tommi Mäkinen driving like he stole it!

Rog :)

I had the latest version of that kit in the stash for years.  Finally decided to let it go and sold it just over a year ago.  Another one of those “why did I do that?” moments.

I've done that too many times to count.

I just got my Black Friday order from a Gundam shop. They offer free shipping on orders over $300 (CAD) and like HLJ, you can have them store it until you hit that amount.

Let's start with another Mak kit. @DocRob might like this one.

PXL_20241216_175533716.thumb.jpg.67f5e4bdd5f261d1abb6b2bdaacc4571.jpg

I was missing the AT-AT so finally got one.

PXL_20241216_175545979.thumb.jpg.767abef1757e7840f7187a8b283a1575.jpg

Another SBY kit.

PXL_20241216_175600083.thumb.jpg.06e2128e36f4b353137a3ac45ff11c0a.jpg

And a large kit of the Psycho Gundam.

The overkill on this kit is impressive. There's the three rocket boosters on the backpack, which also has a rack for three bazookas, two machine guns, and three Panzerfaust looking rockets. And a couple axes. Guess he's like a good Boy Scout. Always prepared.

There was also a bunch of kits for our oldest son for Christmas. He asked for them specifically and they were a bit hard to find but I think he'll be happy.
