Administrators Fran Posted November 10, 2015 Administrators Share Posted November 10, 2015 My first time in Telford could be any better.... I have had the pleasure to, finally, some of LSM staff like Jim, Ben, Grant and Dave!!! And to be once again with the Cees, Jeroen and Erik! Also was wonderfull to meet fellow modellers that`re in this fantastic forum and in WnW fans facebook page. From Telford I bring "just" these: THANKS DAVE! Thanks also to Jim for bag.. Some stuff that I bought and samples from my good friends Aviattic (Richard) and Steve (the Fusilier man). Thanks Guys! A full set of Flory washes to try up!! Curious about this stuff. A special word also to my good friend Jeroen Veen for his gift: the 1:32HK Models B-25 that is now on a new home. Cheers!! Fran

nichenson
Finally got my HpH Ta-154. This kit is beautiful! Very nice subject! Too bad I had bought a Combat Models vac kit just before they announced this. If this keeps up they will do the He177, too, since I bought it as well.

Paulster
Yesterday, members of my 2 clubs, Temecula Valley Model Club and Pendleton AMPS, were invited to tour Legends and Hobbies Distribution. They import and distribute AFV, Merit, Takom, Kinetic and others. Also, they do all the molding for Jaguar there on site. Tony Chin, who owns 100% of Merit and and 10% of Dragon/DML let us parouse his warehouse unattended. Kids in a candy store. He also fielded our questions on the state of the modeling world and gave us some interesting perspective on the relationship between Chinese model companies and the Chinese government. We were allowed to grab what we wanted at a 20% cut. I was the cheap there and only bought a few items. Some people there were dropping some serious greenbacks. I scored the AFV NM 116 and some after market goodies. Mike Witous, Michael Urban, Rob Trousas, Jos Peeters, Colin, Yours truly, Phil "Big Daddy" Mathias and Tony Chin.

Wingco57
Is that the Mig that flew on without a pilot? Cees
Guest DannyVM
Seriously now - I did not know of a Flogger crash in Belgium. Tell us more. The panel is a nice color reference - is that the Russian interior green ? In 1989 a unmanned Flogger-B crashed in the vicinity of Kortrijk, Belgium. That's indeed authentic Russian interior green George. If you treat these MIG's with the same skill as usual I'll be looking forward to the build(s), Danny. Off course George, i wouldn't wanted it another way mate. Is that the Mig that flew on without a pilot?Cees Indeed Cees, i got this piece from a person who was involved in the recovery of the wreckage that day. Here's the whole story https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1989_Belgian_MiG-23_crash And some sound fragments of the conversation between the F-15 pilots who intercept the MIG and ground stations. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vl_zgsMV218 Greetz Danny
Guest DannyVM
So, you will be modelling this in flight, and without a pilot ? The MIG 23 will be placed in static position with a pilot George. As i do not know witch markings the particular MIG carried (according to one of the F-15 pilots, it carried the number "Bort 29" underneath the cockpit) i will model a Sovjet MIG 23 that is almost similar to the one that crashed, but with the known and accurate markings. I use for this decals from Linden Hill. Greetz Danny
