Soo.... What did you just get???

Yesterday I received a nice package containing lots of goodies from Taurus, Top Notch, Aviattic, Profimodeller, HGW and last but not least Yahu.

While browsing through my ransom, I figured I have to show you the item to you which made my Jaw drop. I had one pack from Yahu before but it's not a complete IP, it's pre-printed bezels and gauges for a Arado 234. This time I got two IP's for my SBD-3 and 1/24 Typhoon. Lately I have to admit, that I got a little bored with that pre-printed stuf mostly produced by Eduard. Too flat, sometimes rasterized and in a way lifeless.

The Yahu ones are way better , they are more 3D, sharply printed (readable), with a fitting flat surface and high gloss glass appearance for the bezels. It's not that easy to get these heavy macroed pics right, but show you anyway.

Cheers Rob

Clunk, I cant recall exactly but i think HB blew the hub design with this kit...not enough or too many holes in the rims.

Just a heads up.

Yep.

Lets do baby steps Chinese kits manufactures, don't give us 50 kits a years with shoddy research...instead how about 20 properly researched ones.

SO.............................. I have noticed that on this site, all a guy has to do is merely mention that he needs or likes something or something is hard come by, and by sheer magic, or divine intervention OR JUST plane GENEROSITY, the mentioned items show up in the post...................... AND with no want of re-numeration............ this does reinforce how REALLY good some folks on this earth are, and not to be lumped in with the rest of the 'stuff' we see on the news....... the generosity on this site is unmatched........................... THANK YOU Martin, I owe you a nice tall cold craft beer or at the very least a fancy snort of your choice............ a most generous thing to do for me, and you have no idea how much I appreciate it, YOU, my friend MADE my day. Thank you

Got home today and had a big surprise waiting for me. No, thankfully not another child. Although you could certainly fit one in the box I did get...

I'll have to wait until after I've made dinner to find out what it is though.

Jeff buddy , don't mention it. If you like it I can order more.:thumbsup2:

Guys there was a 'uge box coming from Texas in the mail today.  How to put this?

Ernie knows me quite well and we often share our stories. His are of course much cooler as a soldier, cargo-bush pilot and Canadian ex-pat he has enormous knowledge of flying and life experience. Often I felt that I am talking too much and he's just politely nodding , in order not to offend me, by being bored to death by my silly chatter. :)

Yet, he remembered one of my stories where I described this old Lunak sailplane hanging on the hangar wall at the Bratislava -Vajnory Aeroclub and that there was another one about decommissioned  Delfin (L-29) displayed at a playground near my friend house.

I use to stare at the sleek looking fuselage , daydreaming about how great it could be to take it up to the sky. Well, this never happened , I ended up training on ultralights, later switched to skydiving....

just a glimpse of memories somehow connected to different events. Long story short.

Here is a picture > Thank You Ernie

I found these pictures on the net. Same places, different times. But you can get the idea.

After dinner, c'mon man get your priorities straight.

I do have them straight. More about self preservation really.  I have two boys 6 and 8 who like to have their dinner.

Is it ticking?

Thankfully no, and also thankfully it isn't meowing either.

For almost as long as I have known Ernie, he's been trying his bestest to get me over to the dark side and build stuff with more than one wing and lots of dental floss, er, rigging. So this is his latest recruitment ploy:

Guess I'm going to have to go with the flow and build them.

Ernie, thanks for the generous push and I'll be starting one of these shortly.
