To me, The Next Generation is as good as the original. Patrick Stewart made that series, and if I was doing he casting, I would have never in a million years cast a noted Shakespearean actor in the role of the Captain. But someone did, convinced Patrick Stewart to do it, and made the best of the bunch, IMHO. Every bit the classics as I he original series. And although Patrick Stewart is a great actor I refuse to become embroiled in a Start Trek debate which may cast me deeper into the depths of nerd-dome.
