For me even the lowest speed setting is too fast, mostly. I used it for the portholes of the USS Arizona, where it was perfect, given the thick plastic and used the mini circular saw blade for superstructure surgery. Most times though, I prefer to work hand tools, as they are more controllable. Recently, I ordered the tiny DSPIA USB drill 7 sander, but it hasn't arrived yet. I have high hopes for a bit more versatility. ES-P Portable Electric Sharpening Pen_DSPIAE Cheers Rob As with Rob, mine doesn't get used a huge amount , but for stuff like metal tracks , or a lot of repeat drilling it's great for me .
BlrwestSiR
I had the airbrush out for some work on the Whirlwind so I thought I'd clear coat some cockpit parts. These are the ZM F-4EJ parts with the kit decals. 7

BlrwestSiR
I had the last couple days off from work. Sue wanted a storage bench by our front door. I used wood that I brought home from work. It was leftover from when the shop closed so after lots of cutting, sanding and assembly, I made the bench. In the front hall. I also made a cubby that will go above it. Just need a couple days of warm weather so I can apply a coat varnish and they'll be done. 6
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted April 20, 2023 Administrators Share Posted April 20, 2023 What’s on my bench? Everything! My bench is a disaster area, always was, is, and always will be. I’ve been picking away at this, and so far, it’s been a quick, fun build. My first full Revell build since I was 11 years old. My last Revell build was the first edition 1/32 Hurricane, so it’s fitting my next Revell build 45 years later is the new Revell 1/32 Hurricane. I just stuck the prop on the shaft for a laugh. The last one was brush painted with Testors glass bottle paint, and assembled with Testors red tube glue. That’s all we had available to us back then 6

I built mine a while ago and decided against AM parts for the Instrument panels, as the decaled kit ones looked good. If only they would provide seat belts. Cheers Rob 4

If it's clean, it only stays that way for a few minutes.

Bill_S
Cleaning up the worst seam on the Academy Hornet. I wish I could develop a product like Tamiya putty - one that's indispensable and the user expects to wash 95% of it down the drain!
