Hasegawa P-40N.

I have devoted some time to making the prop into a wide chord version.

I made rudder cables from scratch.  Looks pretty good and was easy.

Bought a Gaahleri airbursh . A lot of positive reviews of these 50 buck airbrushes on the web.

Having graduated form cheapo Chinese airbrushes to IWATAS some years ago , I'll be interested to see how this performs . Two sizes of cup , .35 and .50 needle , spare seals , a unique air nozzle design, & comes with quick release connect  .

Feels heavy and quality, and I can use my small paint cup from an Iwata if I don't fancy their larger ones. Even some lube for the weekend !! Interesting Warrantee - if any of it fails they just ship you a new one .

For the price, I reckoned it was worth a shot .

Desperate measures lol

im trying to deal with the painfully time consuming parts of the build first. Then there will be joyful time of additional weld beads, wiring hardware etc.

I hear you there. I think this 1/16 deviation helps me to stay motivated. I’m using semi-industrial methods, litres of glue and tons of sandpaper , but it’s a fun way how to try heavy hitting techniques without the need to worry about irreversible damage. Everything is big with endless possibilities for detailing

Just got this same trumpeter kit. Also SU-100 in 1/16. Waiting to see how your build comes together :)

This is on my bench right now, but shortly to be leaving it as it’s basically done. I’ll try to get some better shots in the near future.

Needs small mat coat around insulators on aerial wires and where the wire meets the fuselage but otherwise I’m f*cking done with this!

after building one (my first) Trumpeter kit my thoughts are a) I will be building the Revell one as my next early G, and not sure I will build another Trumpy 109 and b) *this* is why you build Tamiya!! (And Kotare)

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.  A rare moment after wrapping up and cleaning up for the next build.
Should be my F-35A, but waiting on the Quinta interior and not sure how much longer it will take.  I may slide in another “quick build” like the Sea Fury was suppose to be. LOL!

I know Trumpeter kits are not perfect but I think what you have looks quite convincing/realistic.I built the G-2 and liked the kit no major setbacks but I try to build to what is aesthetic to the eye but then my builds get seen by few outside of the shop.:unworthy:

HKM A-20 Havoc Life raft replacement!

Kit part on the left,

yellow one first attempt made it a little too tall and shorter in length.

far right is the Is the second attempt. It looks far better in size, width, height, and detail.
Photos included of the real Life raft bag.
