Eli Raphael Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Here's my Birdcage Corsair progress. I barely have time to do something to her. 11 1
KUROK Posted September 4, 2023 Posted September 4, 2023 Hasegawa P-40N. I have devoted some time to making the prop into a wide chord version. I made rudder cables from scratch. Looks pretty good and was easy. 12 1
BlrwestSiR Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Fun with PE... ...actually the buckles are plastic but who's checking. 5 1
PanzerWomble Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Bought a Gaahleri airbursh . A lot of positive reviews of these 50 buck airbrushes on the web. Having graduated form cheapo Chinese airbrushes to IWATAS some years ago , I'll be interested to see how this performs . Two sizes of cup , .35 and .50 needle , spare seals , a unique air nozzle design, & comes with quick release connect . Feels heavy and quality, and I can use my small paint cup from an Iwata if I don't fancy their larger ones. Even some lube for the weekend !! Interesting Warrantee - if any of it fails they just ship you a new one . For the price, I reckoned it was worth a shot . 5 1
Peterpools Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 Good luck with the airbrush - excellent warrantee. 2

BlrwestSiR Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Nice looking tracks Martin. Can't believe how fast you got them done. 4
Martinnfb Posted September 8, 2023 Author Posted September 8, 2023 Desperate measures lol im trying to deal with the painfully time consuming parts of the build first. Then there will be joyful time of additional weld beads, wiring hardware etc. 7 1
Bomber_County Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Looking BIG Martin…….I just do not seem to have anytime to sit down at the bench, life intercedes constantly………and now the Rugby World Cup is starting so even less time…….😕 4
Martinnfb Posted September 9, 2023 Author Posted September 9, 2023 I hear you there. I think this 1/16 deviation helps me to stay motivated. I’m using semi-industrial methods, litres of glue and tons of sandpaper , but it’s a fun way how to try heavy hitting techniques without the need to worry about irreversible damage. Everything is big with endless possibilities for detailing 5 1
Peterpools Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 Martin Brilliant work on the tracks and surely going to be a stunner. 🏆 2 1

nmayhew Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 This is on my bench right now, but shortly to be leaving it as it’s basically done. I’ll try to get some better shots in the near future. Needs small mat coat around insulators on aerial wires and where the wire meets the fuselage but otherwise I’m f*cking done with this! after building one (my first) Trumpeter kit my thoughts are a) I will be building the Revell one as my next early G, and not sure I will build another Trumpy 109 and b) *this* is why you build Tamiya!! (And Kotare) 9 1
FullArmor Posted September 14, 2023 Posted September 14, 2023 Nice looking weathering. Very realistic. 5
ScottsGT Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Nothing. Absolutely nothing. A rare moment after wrapping up and cleaning up for the next build. Should be my F-35A, but waiting on the Quinta interior and not sure how much longer it will take. I may slide in another “quick build” like the Sea Fury was suppose to be. LOL! 7

(And Kotare) I know Trumpeter kits are not perfect but I think what you have looks quite convincing/realistic.I built the G-2 and liked the kit no major setbacks but I try to build to what is aesthetic to the eye but then my builds get seen by few outside of the shop. 3
KevinM Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Now not in the model part of the shop but the woodworking side .....my neighbor wants me to get this tube radio going?? I told this will be my first rodeo so give it time he listened to this radio in the 50's as a child. 6
ScottsGT Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 And there we have it. A one day build!! Ready for sanding and filling then off to paint. Look out John, I’m coming after your crown! 4

Vandy1 VX-4 Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 HKM A-20 Havoc Life raft replacement! Kit part on the left, yellow one first attempt made it a little too tall and shorter in length. far right is the Is the second attempt. It looks far better in size, width, height, and detail. Photos included of the real Life raft bag. 6
GusMac Posted September 24, 2023 Posted September 24, 2023 The Mummy lives.... I'm not paranoid about overspray, honest!! 2 8
