Thank you for the generous offer Carl, but this is 1/24 scale kit. Sofia is going to school today so after almost six weeks of her winter break/ self isolation story I can finally exhale and focus on the hobby. I will try to polish it, perhaps to find a way how to get replacement directly from Trumpeter. I’m really tired and grumpy right now. One of those days. :)

Here is the email to get the part.

There’s not much of a damage on it, it’s just the tricky placement:) I’m really close to wrapping this up, literally just some detailing and final weathering. Might cannibalize another kit.

Welcome to Chinese New Year. They say it's the world's largest human migration every year. The country basically shuts down for two weeks and a couple hundred million folks go home.

Found another started Brit fighter in the stash.

The plan was to do it as a PRXIX.

Found one issue I'll need to sort out. The tail wheel bay is missing.

I tried to polish the canopy, that’s a no go. Looks good from like ten feet….”Ten feet kit”. Lol

Anyway, this thing is huge and I won’t be able to get away with it. Hopefully Trumpeter will respond once the holiday’s over.

All primed and ready for paint. Mr Surfacer 1500 with Mr Levelling, always gives a good result and hard as nails.

Going to paint the rotors first as I'm waiting for a new bottle of khaki drab, old one had dried up.

Started to add foliage to one of my trees. Going to run out of scatter though so will need to order some more.

First tree done. Needs a little bit of clean up but WOW. Totally transforms the diorama. Cannot wait to get the other two trees done now.

I fixed the tail wheel on the Spitfire. I cut the opening a bit bigger.

Then I grafted in a resin bit from an Alleycat PRXI conversion set I have. It's meant for the Tamiya Spitfire kits but the fit was close enough to make it work.

After some filling and sanding.

Phil, I'm just taking out random kits in the stash and working on them. Whatever strikes my fancy at the moment. I am leaning towards trying to finish at least a couple of the started kits that have been lingering around.

If you're going to do just one Spitfire in 1/32, my vote is for any of the Tamiya ones. I've built 9 or 10 so far and they have great to put together. There are a couple small niggles- the wing leading edge inserts and the cowl panels can be fiddly. They're my stress relief builds when I need one.
