    Nice choice, I have a PCM Mk.IX lined up after my current builds and will probably build it as JE*J as well, strangely with my fascination with Spitfires I have never built a Mk IX. I have built I, II, V, VI, VIII, and XIV but no IX. So will have to get my finger out, I do have a Tamiya IX but the PCM version has been in the stash the longest. Cheers Dennis

    What a great subject for a build, I have a soft spot for the Stirling from my memories of a 1/72 scale Airfix build when I was a nipper, what an impressive machine it was. It's a shame that it is now extinct. Cheers Dennis

    I may be a bit strange but I was fascinated when I had my angiogram, seeing everything on the big screen was amazing, I haven't looked back since and that was 6 years ago. Just follow the doctors orders and you should be fine. Cheers Dennis

    That sounds like a very rough ride, but it's great to hear that you are on the mend and if building kits helps go for it, it would be a waste if that skill was not used. Cheers Dennis

    Dymo tape for me also, plus Lion Roar scribing templates and Airwaves radius scribing templates, for the actual scribing I use a Bare Metal Scriber. I have also use the flexible Tamiya masking tape with some sucess. Cheers Dennis

    Not sure now as it was probably late 1990's but I think the nose and engine nacelles were a bit problematic, and fitting the undercarriage was different to the norm, in those days though I did not do build narratives like I do now so I am just relying on my dodgy memory. Cheers Dennis

    I know exactly how you feel as I am currently wrestling with a PCM Tempest, fit, sand, fit, sand get out the CA and find that it still doesn't fit, loads of fun. Cheers Dennis

    Without braving the cold in the loft I would have to say my Airfix 1/24 scale kit boxes, two or three Typhoons and the Hellcat or my 1/350 ships Cheers Dennis.
