Update,
The Spiteful release has some delay. Iconicair informed us that some modifications in the
cockpit assembly are underway. This enables a better building sequence. Watch LSM
for a detailed review soon. A seafang is also expected.
We are excited, you too?
Cees
Tom,
You have really captured the sit and look of the undercart. Noticed you fitted the outer bombdoors too.
The inner will be fitted later?
Will you fit bombs too?
I know, questions questions, but with every update this gets better and better,
Cees
Nick,
According to pics it has the fish plates, three and four bladed props. I believe the Tempest tailplane
Was used with the fourblader, can anyone confirm?
Cees
Tom,
Still lost fir words but that looks very much like a great Halifax undercart. The wheeldoors cut out
Were intended to let part of the tyre to protrude. These are shown as half elliptical shapes.
These were lined with a rubber seal that closed the opening between the doors and tyre.
Cheers
Cees
Not likely, the tailplane is higher op the fuselage. As the Lancaster tailplane is set low on the fuselage,
exhaust staining was a common thing. The grey/white colour in the exhaust stain had something to do with the
lead in the fuel I believe.
Cees
Dennis,
That is a good idea.
Due to building the Meteor I noticed that I suddenly enjoyed building jets. Been working on my
Second now. Poor Tempest languishes on the shelf of doom. Not for long hopefully.

The panel overlapping is bit overdone but it looks great (sorry, we used to have a rear fuselage on show at the museum for some years, it's now back in the UK).

According to the net the stunning Airfix Hawker Typhoon will be in the shops
Around June 6 th ( nice timing). The first build article will appear in Airfix World
Magazine out around May 1 st. Now that will be a sight. Will it sell by the bucket load?
What do you think?
