  1. Are you building a 1:1 copy of the original? Amazing!
  2. Thank you Kevin! Thanks Harv! Thank you Gary. Thought it was necessary because the first result didn’t please me.
  3. Tonight I repaired the scratches: and decided to bring a little more life to the sand by filling the panels with a slightly lighter shade of the sand and blend it in: Now it looks the way I wanted it and I can move over to the green color.
  4. That’s great to hear Harv! Wish you all the best to recover soon!
  5. Thanks for your nice feedback Harv! Any update when you will be back to the bench? Thank you Peter, reworked it already and have to prime and paint it again: not a big thing to deal with… Super Video Martin! Love it! Thanks you Frank. I always thin the paint 50:50. This gives some scope for playing with the airbrush. As you see above I still find some faults to correct. Sloppy work at control after priming…
  6. Great progress Frank! The wheel wells with their leather coaming look stunning! All the PE you used really improve the model a lot! The ammunition in the belt is also awesome. What will be seen of it when the model is finished? Great work also on the lower cowling and the slat. Looking forward to seeing the next update!
  7. Nice stash you have Gary! „Klein aber fein“ as we say in German. You really have a lot of WNW kits! I also have the Fokker DVII and the Wingmeng Dr.1. And I also see some rare kits: the 2 109s and some really nice 1/48 kits! I‘m not an expert on the armor side. I see the SdKfz 7/1. It’s one of the 2 armor models I have build. Especially the „Flakvierling“ is a really great kit. I build it back when I was 19 (40 years ago!) but still have it on one of my shelves. Like you I also love to get literature about the subjects I build. My collection is too big because I can’t stop. Also my stash is too big to build it until the end of my life. But we are not only modelers but also collectors aren’t we?
  8. Tonight I managed to airbrush the light sand color on the upper fuselage and wings. I decided not to do a patchy paintjob, because on the real plane the camo isn’t patchy: I also detected a scratch on the left intake which I have to rework: Otherwise it looks like this now: The demarcation lines. Airbrushed with 0,15 mm nozzle freehand: With the color on the tail the nozzle really comes to life: Next color to follow will be the green.
  9. That looks great! Nice touch with the white stripes!
  10. These decals really make it an eyecatcher Kevin! Looking great! Now you’re close to the finish-line. Curious to see her finished!
  11. Awesome looking pit Peter with great details and very nice detail-painting! The seats are really very well detailed! This seems to be a typical beautifully detailed and engineered Tamiya kit! Keep 'em coming! Kai
  12. Great progress Wolf and again very useful tipps and pictures!
  13. Thank you for the links. They are great and now I believe that Grafs plane had no blister on top of the canopy. Unfortunately I haven‘t found information regarding the thickness of the struts. They seem to be as thick as a thumb and have a round profile. Hope this helps…
  14. I can’t find the right words to give you a feedback for the work you did. Awesome, stunning and gorgeous are not enough to describe it. Have never seen something like this before. Just sitting here and watching the pictures with an open mouth. This is more than brilliant!
  15. Nice progress on the engines Marc! Very colorful with all the piping and the ring-cooler!
  16. Lots of additional assembly done! This will be the next stunning build!
  17. Great start Peter and the pictures show what a beautiful detailed and engineered kit this is! The lack of seatbelts is bad but I think the crew looks really great but it isn’t everyone’s gusto to put it in the pit. Curious how this will go on!
  18. Great work John! Looking forward to seeing it in the paintshop!
  19. Forgot the pics of the rest of the kit: Have never seen a picture of the real plane with such a bubble on the canopy. Do you have one?
  20. Gary here are the fotos of the template and the instructions with some drawings and measures. Please inform me if you need further information. Cheers Kai
  21. This is exactly the set I mean. Bought mine in Telford in 2019. Even without the template it should be no problem for you to attach them to the wing. Do you need a drawing of the template? Maybe I can give you the measurements of the reference points for the attachment.
