  1. Interesting technique Rob! Haven’t heard about the colors you used before. Looks really good. Looking forward to seeing the progress!
  2. Interesting idea, Gaz! With what kind of Decals will you do that?
  3. This will be a stunning livery Rob! A real eyecatcher! Can’t wait to see it finished!
  4. Good technique and the result is as it is in real. With painting on it is very difficult to achieve a realistic result. Just give me your address and I will send it to you.
  5. Thanks Rob. This is a compliment which makes me proud. It’s always my aim to create a scene which tells a story and creates a realistic surrounding.
  6. Today I want to present to you my finished F4U-1A Corsair Diorama. The work in progress pics are here: I had the idea for a propaganda-scene when I came across the figure of a cameraman from the US Navy of WWII in 1/35 and the Black-Sheep VMF-214 wooden sign in 1/32 scale from King&Country. The figures are a pilot out of the Kit, a director and a mechanic and a woman soldier of the Navy Medical Corps adoring the kill-marks on the plane. Especially the Ultracast figure of Boyington is beautifully sculptured. The airfield plates are from Brengun and the turnable plate from IKEA. The palms are handmade and come from a German Diorama Accessoires supplier. Thanks for looking. FullSizeRender.mov
  7. I think you are correct. ED887 and 932 are out of the same production batch and the framing in the front and rear turret was black. Here are 2 pics of ED887 out of the Dambuster-Book. Maybe in vain since I believe you have it. I love your Manchester Conversion. Great job on this one. Nice idea to post comparison pics.
  8. Beautiful chipping on the ladder. Looks quite realistic! I have one left over from one of my Tamiya-Kits. Maybe this fits better! If you want to have it, I may send it to you.
  9. Nice Progress, Cees! Will the frames be silver or black? And be careful when you glue the glasshouse to it: I used Tamiya the extra thin cement and due to the narrow space between the brackets on the left and right side and the glass the capillary effect sucked the cement in and glued the glass to the brackets. You can image how this looked like and I only discovered it after removing of the masks. Wasn‘t easy to repair... Keep on with the good progress!
  10. Thank you Jeroen. Believe it or not: The dog was the most complicated thing to paint with the airbrush due to its tiny size...
  11. The lozenge decals really look as if painted on. I have them also in my stash for my D VII. Lucky that I’ve bought them!
  12. Very nice Ian! Especially the worn seat and working-desks of the w/o and the navigator look very convincing!
  13. This is one of the most beautiful models I‘ve ever seen. So is the diorama scene! Your love to details and how you create them is simply outstanding!
  14. Looks really good and shiny! I attached all the small bits at the end of my build (and could therefore spray the finflashes ) and also the tailplanes at the very end due to being anxious that parts may break and be gone forever...
  15. That’s really a great idea and it’s looking amazing, Ian! And all achieved with a brush. Unbelievable !
  16. Looks quite good now and also the plates are better than the former ones. I‘m not an expert but you should keep it as it is...
