Bill Nice progress on your Kingfisher and it seems KH went out of their way to frustrate the builder. The P&W looks so good and detailed then the fit/installations issues set in - KH never yields any ground. I'm so envious on seeing how crystal clear your canopies look after working on them and that there are mask sets available of your choosing. None for the old Monogram kit and I'm over two hours of masking just the front windscreen with just one panel left to do. Of course, I still have the three other sections to do.

Chris Some mighty fine progress on the Big Cat and the front office looks so good. Holy Smokes, how big is the Cat anyway? beware of those voices and keep to your plan - all will work out perfectly. I'm getting closer and closer to building the Border Lancaster and her overall dimensions are approx 24x38 - how does this compare to the Cat? Only way I can display the model when finished is to have a display case made just for the Lancaster and then build a shelf in my studio for the display case. Any ideas how you are going to display the model?

Ernie you're so right. When the automotive industries as an example became involved in productions and manufacturing, tanks, machine gun and ships, production skyrocketed with increased quality and reliability; the sheer numbers were incredible. One of the saying of our war effort was 'factories win the war'.

Just to show how correct Yamamoto was, WWII aircraft carrier production: USN ... 115 Japan ... 18 It was a case in both theaters of war, the US just out produced everyone with numbers that were over whelming, plus standardization of parts.

Paul With you 100% - all it takes is a few pairs of fresh eyes to review the instructions and on a complicated kit, do a test build from them.

Terrific choice for the GB. I built Tamiya's F4B when the kit first came out and a dream to build. Only issue was some hazing inside the canopy which was my own doings and should have gone with the canopies open.

Ernie OMG, fantastic choice for the GB - will be following with a front row seat all the way.

Kev Right with Gaz, your base looks terrific. I've learned the hard way, when things don't go as planned and there is a feeling of frustration in the air, tomorrow is another day.

Gaz Some mighty impressive 'plastic persuasion' with the liberal use of Black CCA and kicker. Surely you have the E Boat kit under control and well underway.

Terrific build. Just love to see these kits kit the bench and the results look fantastic. twenty-three F4's ... now that's a fantastic collection for sure.

Chris I feel your pain with the masking. getting the mask you purchased to work, is going to be some delicate work. NO question in my mind, you'll pull it off just fine. I'm getting close to masking the Kingfisher glass and am going to have to do it the old fashioned way as I can't find a mask set at all. Thinking back, the 'good old days' when it comes to canopy masks was a skill we had to master as mask sets were decades away from being created.
