Thanks JP, the rear stab and small amount of fuselage should have been metallic, I’d Sprayed with Future prior to decals then found the error. I tried AK Extreme metals but they reacted with the Future and the Vallejo beneath. Used a mixture of Vallejo gunmetal and gull grey and actual hand painted ........I’ll hit the brightness once the decals are done and a Matt coat is applied....this has been a learnings curve.....

Mike for a start .........great to see new faces, as Rob said we blend all scales and genres here at LSM and nobody is bothered by it, so model away, enjoy, ask anything. I’ve only been back to the hobby 3 years and still learning a massive amount from these guys, btw this is the only modelling forum I’m on as well........

sweet.....,you’ll enjoy the build, the engineering IMHO is first rate.......please do a build log.......also for a 48th its still a big airframe....

Totally agree Brad, I only ever bought Master track links once for my Mark IV Male as the Takom links were unbuildable IMHO. In the UK a metal set for Tiger etc is £28 +, that’s the cost of the kit right there........

Rob , absolutely stunning, which Matt varnish do you use? Do you thin yours down.......going to attempt to use Vallejo Matt varnish to seal the decals on the F4J
