Thanks Gaz, it’s good Tamiya engineering and moulding, the exhausts are a little disappointing…… -

Thanks Peter, I’m glad I added the logo’d rocker covers……… -
Congrats Gus looks great and the weathering is stunning. Hoping for a good result in Leeds today……
-
Gaz, it’s a very ingenious solution, it’s certainly not junk and it gives you a semi permanent bench, congrats…

I bow in reverence to your superior knowledge oh great one, never shall I utter the expression “it’s looks ok to me” again………..🤪

1/48 C-47 lookalike from Trumpeter
Bomber_County replied to Martinnfb's topic in LSM 1/48 Work in Progress
Looking mighty fine Martin, I wonder if anyone will ever do a new moulding of DC3 / C47…………ICM would be my choice as they have a track record in 48th twins albeit all Axis…….. -
Scott, call me heretic but I built the SH Tempest without the nose update and it looks good to me………funny story, the SH Tempest was my first ever 1/32 kit. I bought at Telford show and was very happy. On the way back to the car a guy says , “ oh you bought the Tempest, the nose is completely wrong”. I told him where to go and reside, preferably where the sun doesn’t shine………..he scuttled off………

Jarrod, absolutely stunning Sherman, this is the best 1/16 build I’ve ever seen. The weathering is perfect, it’s very difficult to know when to stop adding mud. The detail is exquisite and the stores added to the hull are beautifully observed. Congratulations, brilliant build…….

On holiday this week, so a little more bench time. Engines now assembled and the rocker box covers replaced with Barracuda covers with RR logon on. You have to careful dremel out a notch for the magnets to locate inside. ……..now to concoct an engine colour………. -
Mark, just an idea. I quick Tamiya build or similar, no hassle, everything fits, do it OOB no AM and a subject you have never done before……I get so little time at the bench the urge is always there. ……hope it helps….l

Thanks Rob, I tend to paint under a magnifying lens, so if it’s ok at that magnification it will be ok at Eyeball Mk 1. If you have the full Brassin set it comes with wiring etc for the bulkhead boxes on the left, I had scratch build those…….when do you think you’re is going to visit the bench?…….. -
Nay Peter you know you want to, Carl would have it half finished by now…….

Happy Birthday ………may your wishes all come true…….😁….

Thanks Peter, I keep expecting a mismatch or part not fitting but this is Tamiya. I keep distracting myself with, shall I add some detail etc………the one thing about RedFox is they are not a water slide decals so you no water whatsoever. They are a rigid panel……. -

Bomber_County replied to Bomber_County's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Thanks Carl, it’s coming together well, suppose I expect that from Tamiya. Really impressed with the RedFox as they are of a rigid construction and lay down perfectly…….. -
Bill, looking amazing, I’m really tempted to get this, I’ll finish the Mossie first I think…….

Now the Elco is finished and off the bench, time to push on with the Mossie. Cockpit almost finished it was time to break out the RedFox not decals but very thin printed panels. Applied with PVA and away we go. IMHO they look good…….next is the .303 gunbay. Prepared the replacement barrels for a Master set, see blackened the tray. Also adding Barracuda Ammo chutes, more to come on those……..after the Elco cannot stop adding detail for my sins….. -

Thanks Gaz……. -
Rob, very much appreciated. I actually completed the build last weekend but just couldn’t get the photography to look good, hence the the delay. The detailing was fun, just wish Griffon would have done a PE for this. Not sure if I’d build Italeri again but saying that their S-100 does look nice. The figures look ok but need work on them. I did see there are separate helmets that I will add to the model and also I have some binoculars in the spares box………
