  1. Carl, that looks beefy compared to my MDC resin Hurricane cockpit!
  2. Spent last week in Cape Cod; I found a very nice hobby shop while I was in Hyannis hanging with the Kennedys. I cleaned them out of Model Master RLM02. They had a decent supply of older Revell kits too. I found an even better shop just outside of Boston on the way home. The even had a few WNW kits...
  3. I use them all the time. Applying oils in small areas; a line of future to seal the edges of lozenge decals...
  4. Glad to see your goal has been met, James. I made a small donation as soon as I saw it on the home page; this site is well worth the money I contributed. Keep up the great work!

    Big Day

    Hope all went well, Harv!
  6. I used Sierra Hotel intakes and exhausts on mine. I was pleased with them, although I did cringe when I first took a saw to that kit!
  7. A deal I couldn't pass up - $129 shipped! I never buy micro brushes from a hobby supplier. These "mascara brushes" are the same thing - and way cheaper...
  8. Thanks for all your efforts, admin and moderators! I see the request for donations - is that new?
  9. When it comes to bicycles, I'm a dinosaur. I still have my Schwinn that I bought in 1979. 10 speed, 27 in wheels with a 27 inch frame. Most people can't get their leg over the horizontal frame member. I used to ride about 25 miles a day prior to the heart attack. I still get out on it once in a while. I have a friend who's an avid cyclist. He told me something long ago that stuck with me. "When it comes to bikes, you want light, strong, and cheap. But you only get to pick two."
  10. Got most of the rigging out of the way last night!
  11. Wow. I'm not much of a helo guy, but that looks great!
  12. Neat looking little tank there, Rob. Let me (us) know how those masking markers work - I myself have never had any luck with any type of masking fluid.
  13. Another one that I started long ago. Thanks to Clunkmeister for getting me back on this one! Not sure yet which markings I will use... Lots of Tamiya tape...
  14. Happy birthday, Maru!
  15. Clod 4 and Clod 5 should put you on Clod 9, Carl.
  16. Have a great time, Harv! Any hobby shops close by?
  17. Looking forward to seeing progress on this one, Ernie. Amazing how a grail kit can move everything else down the list!
  18. Nice detail work on those ignition harnesses, Rob!
  19. Happy birthday, Recon!
  20. This one is way down the list, Jeff.
  21. The last one. Until the next one.
  22. I thought the same thing, Carl. A fleet of 1/72 Liberators in preparation for a fleet of 1/32 Liberators.
  23. Rob, years ago, they were throwing away a box of these drills at work - they were used for drilling precise fuel metering holes in carburetors. You can ones used for drilling holes in printed circuit boards in even smaller sizes (this one is about 0.25mm). I use good magnification, too!
  24. Great stuff here, Rob. I manage to break the frames on my W.29 build, too. I find it easier to attach cable to rudders and control column first, then pass it through where it's supposed to go.
  25. Happy birthday!
