  1. I imagine any photo from distance would make the sheen disappear. Even my racer didn't shine too much from a distance.
  2. I always paint everything too light. Then I can hit it with washes later.
  3. Wow! Great job! Fantastic work on that camo.
  4. Your seats and belts look great. I'm all for artistic creation. I give away far Too much money for AM as it is. My weakness is metal barrels. Sometimes I miss the days when I could slap together a 1/48 scale kit in a day and feel good about how it turned out.
  5. Wow, Rob! She's a beauty. What a great looking little build. There is an appeal to racers... they look pretty, and don't need much weathering. If you want shine, using automobile buffing compound can really get your shine up. You can see below that buffing will enable your paint to reflect other surfaces.
  6. What happened to this one?
  7. I don't plan to buy anything. But my wife is gonna get a shock when she looks at my Christmas wishlist: In no particular order... 1/32 Oeffag Alb 1/32 Val 1/32 HS 123 1/32 Mc 202 1/32 Flying Clog... B und V 139 hopefully not too far away.... 1/35 Dragon Ostwind... the last 1/35 panzer I'll ever need. I have all of the rest barring prototypes and paper panzers. Already have the ZM 190 on pre-order...
  8. Not mine... but pretty cool...
  9. Great Review, Ern. Thank you! I reckon it looks like a cracker of a kit. I want one, but may have to put it on my Christmas wish list. The Beaufighter is cool and all... But it's like every other twin engined plane... too big for my house. I'm only gonna allow one multi engined 1/32 kit to enter my house... the flying clog. Otherwise, I can get my jollies on the ton of 1/48 twins out there.
  10. Wow! You move fast. Looking good so far. Nice choice for a build.
  11. Build a model... great way to wait for anything.
  12. I will give a few minutes to watch some footage of the pomp and ceremony. After all... it's been 70 years since the last one.
  13. Very well done, John. Gonna need your own carrier, soon. Better build more USMC stuff. They're happy with a little chunk of coral.
  14. The usual applause apply to your usual amount of clean, detailed work, Peter. I'm sure it will look great no matter which option you choose. I've never been a fan of folded wings... I just feel all of the interest leave me when I see one with the wings folded. All of those interesting things I like on a plane care covered by huge slabs. Anyway... your choice.
  15. Well done, Rob! Nice finish and an attractive scheme. Don't believe the hype... 1/200 scale only has more small pieces.
