  1. Well... I always say it's better to have too much plastic than too little.
  2. Nossir... not final. Small base and figures planned. But alas my figures are trapped in Korea. So I'm converting some Miniart figures into modern Germans. My first black beret was made with melted sprue.
  3. Some great, clean work, Ernie! Well done!
  4. Not very happy about it, mate.... So I can't give ya a like....lol No club meets... that's the killer.
  5. Stren 2lb test, Buddy. That's what I use.
  6. Personally... I don't know what is the truth. Whether it's a suspension, a trick to boost profits, or hasta la vista baby! As one who contributed more than once to the now locked thread over at TOS, I don't feel like I'm in meltdown. I know there's a final chapter in the story that will some day come to light. Forums are for communicating, aren't they? If you don't want to read a thread, it's pretty easy to keep scrolling ain't it? I learned a few interesting things from that thread, which makes it all worth while. I never understand why people go to a thread, read it, then complain about it. It hadn't even gotten hostile yet. I won't believe WNW is gone until it's gone. But for a long time I've sat on the fence about a handful of kits. To support Aussie retailers and to put some styrene in the stash, I bought a few of their 'in stock' WNW items. I had planned to buy them someday, anyway. There's no point in ordering direct from WNW as they ain't shipping anything. And I'm not certain what's allowed into AUS at the moment anyway. I know I have some figures trapped in Korea.
  7. Well... I'm not usually a list maker. I have lots of kits, but you never know when the impulse will strike: WNW Fokker Dr.I... maybe two of them Eduard Bf 108 Short list... More of an impulse buyer, anyway.
  8. There are rules for marking Reno Racers that I didn't discover until after I did my PCM TA-152C in a Reno-esque scheme. Your numbers must be in contrasting paint on both the rudder and upper and lower wings... my memory is a bit sketchy on which side of the wings, but it is top and bottom... but there are plenty of pics out there to give you an idea. As for design, coming up with something original is tough.
  9. I just got one from my daughter for my birthday. The interior shelves are 15" deep. She even did most of the assembly. Looks pretty dustproof, but two more shelves would be optimum for 1/32 scale singles as three seems about all you'll get on a shelf. Though...fitting jet fighters will be even more limiting. Gaz
  10. Work! Overtime out the ying yang which I am not doing. Panic buying is making my work day crazy. With my bench and PC waiting at home, I feel no urge to give up more of my time to feed the idiots panic buying. My job essentially sucks. But ppl gotta eat. And it's good money for the work. So, I'm probably in the right place at the right time.
  11. Rob, Really don't know what to say about the seats. I've never heard of anyone having difficulty with the kit seats. But the rest looks smashing!
  12. All of your painting and touch-ups came out really well, Steve!
  13. I'm building Takom's 1/35 Spahpanzer Luchs. Finally attached the brake drums. NOt an easy step. To my surprise, research showed the thing is covered in weld seams... yet not one one the kit.
  14. For my birthday my daughter gave me Ikea's Fabrikör. She also did most of the assembly.
  15. Great work, Harv!
  16. Glad to see this one back on the move, Martin! Very nice work!
  17. It's pretty active place, but tons of advertising. I'm a subscriber, so my view of advertising is diminished.
  18. I work in grocery distribution. The panic buying of rice, UHT (long life) milk, pasta, and powdered milk has forced an overtime spike at a time of year that is usually quite slow. Many stores have doubled their usual purchasing to attempt to keep up. And today the Aussie Gov't has issued a recommendation that all non-essential events or gatherings be cancelled. It's just a recommendation. There's no mention of 'mandatory' yet.
  19. Dale, With EZ line you have the benefit of stretch. So, I can suggest that once you have one point attached, let the CA cure for a bit. Then, you can attach the other, free end to a place in line with the aerial. So, instead of a floppy, loose end, you have a taut line that you can place on the post. If you have any CA kicker, you can dab a bit on to harden the CA. Having a lack of sensation makes it much harder, I understand. But it's really the only trick I know for attaching an EZ line aerial.
