These are for the ROCAF version but should get you most of the way there. https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/m/image/10177585 As for the Eagle, there's an upgrade set out with some really turned aluminum engine bells. Carl

Hobby Boss P-61 re-started
BlrwestSiR replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
That's a major milestone there John. How big is it compared to a B-25? Carl -
Not the best pic but here's what they look like assembled. I used them on my F-4E build.

Been out a bunch with the boys so haven't gotten much done on the Hind. I did start on the decals though. Thankfully there's not a lot of them. I sort of forgot about the rotors so those are up next.

It's not a decal sheet but maybe this might work for you? https://hlj.com/red-finish-hsgtf12 I've used it in the past and it's very thin and has some stretch to it if you need to cover compound surfaces. It also comes in various colours including a fluorescent red. Carl

I wondered what happened to this one. I'm glad to see you giving it another shot John. I know what you mean about where to put it once it's done. My B-25s are in a similar state of completion. -
Another reason to build an HK kit!

I think the bomb bay doors have the camera windows moulded as knockouts with corresponding windows to put in them. It does build up really nicely. Too bad mine didn't last that long after completion. -

I can't wait for either one of these. -
The problem with a square is the centre will still have supports in it. There's be no way around that so it would effectively be two sections that are two wide.

If my wife brought me coffee, I wouldn't know what to do with it as I can't stand the stuff. She constantly says she can't figure how we got together since that's almost all she drinks. Or at least it seems that way to me. Now when she brings me a beer, that's a different story entirely.

I'm going to be making a custom base and top and joining two of those together. Along with adding four extra shelves to it, that will increase my display space considerably.

Going on from what Bill posted, maybe get one made with slots so that you can stick the wings through them once the B-36 is done. That way the fuselage is enclosed and just the wing tips poke out. Carl

You'll have to cast a bunch of copies for the rest of us if you do. -

That is.... ...awesome! Anybody know where we can get a bunch of those (assuming it's a real kit) and do a group build? I'm up for a digital camo scheme. -
Thanks Rob! I've always liked Tiger Meet aircraft so when DN Models came out with this masking set, I no longer had an excuse to not get this model. The DN masks have worked really well so far. They have several Tiger Meet mask sets and have even done a couple custom ones for me. Thanks Jeff! I used Tamiya Extra Thin Cement to glue the canopy on. To fill the small gaps I had, I used some 'sprue glue' which is bits of kit sprue dissolved in Tamiya Extra Thin. It's thick and gloopy but more importantly, sands nicely once fully cured and can strengthen the joint a bit. Just don't get it on clear bits where you don't want it.

Looks really good. The plastic guards look good to me. Carl

I stayed up a bit longer last night and got the stub wings painted. These actually needed a bunch of touch up due to the pylons but I got it all done and installed them onto the fuselage. We're off for a hike so hopefully there'll be more progress later today.
