  4. A little Tamyia 1/48 P-51B that's going to be painted as a "C" crate "SIT" for a GB on another site. From what I gather the "B" was built at Inglewood and the "C" was built in Dallas?

  13. I ordered two kits VM F-4 1/32 and a Mossie 1/48 both Tamyia with shipping still cheaper than the F-4 by itself stateside.Just give me a reason I need to have a yard sale for some kits.

  18. I am calling this one done fellas I had three pieces left to install two landing lights and the clear underwing light ..well as my luck has been the last I dropped the r/wing light and wala it was frigg'in gone I am not manufacturing another one I figure by the time I get done sanding and repainting I will break another gun barrel the antenna/pitot tube will both wala best to stop while ahead.I figure should it show fix it then, The kit is a worthy kit for a P-47 the subtleties of the lines and rivets are quite nice.I had no issues with the front cowling myself upon examination notches are supplied to remove any guess work on your part.I thought I had the aux.fuel tank aligned let it sit overnight well it slid some I left it been breaking to much on this one. The one thing I did not understand you have a square hole for the LG but it was loose I mean the reason for square to get a uniform alignment no guess work other than that decals/stencils worked out great beginning to not like Florry's Dust would of been fine with the Sand like you see on the bottom.I was trying to lighten the color of of the OD for sun fade not to successful but is better than the P-40.
  19. I have yet to build a Tamyia 1/32 kit Chris have done a quite a few in the 1/48 and 1/72.I have the three Spits in the stash and had the P-51 but the P-51 Nut found a way to barter that one out my hands like you I have 2X of the ROG in the stash they are doable.
  20. The F-84G is moving right along simplicity, perfect fit and a low piece count=Tamyia fir ya.The P-47 had a couple of other pieces added this evening tail wheel area and the pitot tube tomorrow the running lights and the lower wing lens with a touch of paint. The Ta-152 will follow the F-84.
  21. That's me also wish I had more Tamy's hence the reason I bought one the other day don't get me wrong they build nice just wish I could remember for ya.I actually gave the build away to a friend who is P-51 nut and these were my issues but some issues on the paint side said it's not worthy to reside in the cabinet. The Tamyia kits just fall together and while sometimes I doctor up a 1/48 most times it's for aesthetic qualities.
  22. Not much of a build thread really Chris it just flew together on it's own but here:
  23. Jeroen don't know about the 3D solution but a scratch built whether the shoe be brass/card and a brass rod to which I am sure you are up to. If deployed?
  24. I have built this kit a very very Nice kit did the French markings on mine I like it better than their P-51 kits which to me are a bit over engineered but that's me.
  25. Kinda/not the same with mine the last kit she bought for me was the Trumpter "Liberty Ship" after the Son and I had gone through the D-Day museum in New Orleans for like the 3/4 time always adding and the Liberty Ship section was very interesting.Shirley hated me building and painting in the house that she so encouraged the shop to be built out back.I sometimes think she regrets(probably pass that) it seeing I only spend maybe 1/2 hours a day on TV and it's usually YT,in the 90's we watched TV together but you had better programming "Xfiles" was one we enjoyed.
