  5. Not first place but a close 2nd it was a small showing of builds about 100/150 entries in all categories with ships being the smallest so nothing to brag about. The judge did say she's a show stopper does many shows across the SE.He said if I would of dullcoated the deck for some glue marks hands down I was #1 if taken care of he said do it and take her to some more shows.I did take 1st in the 1/48 with my "Lil Margaret" P-51 REECE.

  10. I found that to Dennis and the correction took about twenty minutes of work I just about screwed the pooch on this one trying to remove the exhaust with some acetone fractured the nose a couple places but saved.Leave well enough alone!
  11. I have glued the wings up a bit of sanding on the top of the wheel wells on the one I had to repair that .010" made a difference but was accomplished. The fit between the wing and the fuselage is exceptional for now......their is no dihedral looks like maybe 10'tops got to fix that.I f#$% up the exhaust and I knew I should not of glued them really snug/tight fit they stick out to far.The instructions do not show how much and I moved them to the point of a positive stop on the mold.I also made some bolts for the oleo's that were lost in removing them from casting block and will add hydraulics to the LG.I am still thinking when all said and done she will look good.
  12. Ernie a little off subject but a nice video done by the government in 1944 the first ten minutes has a few of these HellDivers in along with some Hellcats. The HellDiver is a big frigg'in bird!! https://youtu.be/6RMBJG24yR0

  15. Scott not a big jet guy but she is looking pretty good thus far.I did a build of my son's plane he was crew chief to in Misawa Japan with the 35th FW made the decal numbers the pilot was Capt.Mogen(me) and I promoted him the TSgt on the other side of the canopy.I still got the kid working for me As to your truck I work at a parts house after doing seven years of auto machinist back in the 80's I order two tranny's was told a month wait!I finally gave up got a local guy to go through the 5sp had it done in in under a week. The first tranny came in at 6 weeks!!
  16. Phil it looks good to me but I am mostly mediocre on most of my builds quantity over quality I guess
  17. That's me to Gary but I am always looking to move onto the next kit and shrink the size of the stash. Now Ernie is going to have to live to be a thousand years old to finish his stash.I am sure that with whatever avenue you take the end result will be exemplary
